I was wrong in my OP. Not even a $3 difference!

In the 1TB, it looks pretty well enclosed.. Hmm.

    Are you sure?
You won't ever see me using the "easy to use" software :D
Bad stuff is bound to happen when you do that

What worries me, is how they offer a TB more of storage, for a $1.50 more.. I feel like the purposes of the two are completely different.

Perhaps you guys can help me..

I am having trouble staying connected to my wireless internet. My laptop and xbox will both lose connection at random times or when I can maintain connection it is shoddy at best. I called comcast and they wanted to charge me $80 to figure it out.

I've gone in and reset my modem, had a signal from comcast sent to it, reset my router, updated the firmware on my router, increased the maximum mbps, opened and closed the 5ghz option. I dont really know what else to do at this point.

I have comcast as stated and a netgear router.

    Here is my speed

The upload is where its supposed to be but the download is about 25-30mbps slow

As someone with two decades at this:

Wireless sucks balls. If it is at ALL feasible, run wires.

Second, wireless sucks balls. All kinds of shit interferes with it. Microwaves. Cordless phones. Fluorescent lights and their ballasts. Hell, anything with power, magnetic energy or content. Check what is in between you and your WAP.

Third, wireless sucks balls. Check for obstructions of the signal (walls, refrigerators, washing machines, chimneys, dear god anything other than empty air between you and it makes it suck balls even more than normal.

Fourth, wireless adapters suck balls. Their drivers are ass, the OSes of today do a shit-tastic job of powering them off in 'power saving' and turn it back on when needed. The hardware manufacturers are horrifically bad at documenting ANYthing and the only ones worse than them at documenting are driver writers.

Fifth, wireless antennas suck balls. A moth farting near one of your WAP plastic-toothpick jigglers that they call 'antennae' will disrupt or corrupt the packet reception.

Really, if we're to properly troubleshoot this. We need hardware specs and OS type/version and such to do a more specific and thorough discussing your issue.

By the way, Wireless sucks balls, in case I wasn't clear enough for you on that part :)

Lol I cant, In a straight line my xbox and laptop are only 10-15 feet away but there are 2 walls in between them. To run a line it would have to be about 100-150 feet to wrap around everything.

There is nothing in between other than a printer and a tv

And my wireless was working just fine yesterday and now its not..

Also remember, Comcast is usually a shared pipe, and everyone their brother their dog and the guy next door are watching the Cheatriots go full retard against the Broncos and get spotted drive-saving bullshit penalties or no-calls by the lovely zebras.

When I had Comcast last, I didn't even bother attempting to use the internet if Tiger Woods was playing (south Florida) in a tournament on TV.
