Just watched episode 6 of this season. WTF the whole think was focused on the Governor. I was surprised he's with the ladies now, i figured he'd try and take their supplies etc..

I thought the writers/directors were going more into the character's story, no?

One think I think the writers seriously overlooked was ammo supply: there aren't any factories or the like and everyone seems to be shooting full-auto or multiple bursts, which leads to a waste of ammo. But, it's a small thing that I don't let bother me...but just sayin...

Season 1 was outstanding, and season 2 was slow but I understood why. At this point they need to be finding the median.

I don't expect crazy action all the time, but I don't want an episode of farmer Rick either. I liked Sunday's episode, and I loved the 'Clear' episode with what's his face.

I may be the only one, but I like all seasons. Sure, some had more action than others. But I think we tend to forget that the main point of this show is about a group's survival in a time of a zombie apocolyspe. Think about this: If this were to really happen and there was a group of people trying to survive, wouldn't the same dynamics apply? Or do you think that the group, over time, would do nothing more than kill walkers and not have any sort of interaction? I think that this is doing a good job of both. Of course, there will be those who think it should be nothing more than a kill-fest and others who appreciate the interaction/growth/kill-fest. All will never be pleased, but this show seems to doing pretty good as it is.

I agree. For many the whole point of the show is about the group dynamics and survival, doesn't matter if they even show any zombies at all except to demonstrate how "real" the danger is. The Gov episode was very interesting to me as well and a totally unexpected turn from what I thought would be next.

It portrayed the Gov as a totally beaten man, on the fence between ending his life and struggling to find some new reason to live. Then he dropped hints that might indicate he had once truly believed his previous actions were the only way to survive and he was the main reason they stayed safe at Woodbury. So it leaves you wondering if he really has turned sorrowful and despondant over everything or is it just an act for the time being.

Kind of a counterpart to Rick who has also teetered back and forth between becoming ruthless to all outsiders and being a pacifist farmer.

So why would the writers have the gov's new right-hand man say he was an active duty U.S. Army tanker who took his "tank," but that tank ( the M-48) was stricken from active over a decade or two ago? For such an old tank, it is in pristine condition...
