I'm sure mileage will be a good bit better. My F150 got 2 mpg better than what my taco gets, even at 6000 lbs and 100 HP more. Damn I miss that truck. Oh well, their just to damn big for my needs.

I like the Durmax tho. Maybe Toyota should put out a diesel for the taco. And for sure in the tundra. Also Chevs 1500 V8 gets 32mpg highway. Thats pretty impressive. But in reality if you drive a truck who cares about gas. The tacoma will still be worth something when you sell it.

So Toyota borrowing an engine from GM? Hmmm. lmfao.

It depends on the specific engine being used in the Colorado. The Camaro V6 was rated at 302 HP when it came out in 2011, and it was able to get 32 MPG highway. If they use the same engine, I wouldn't see why the Colorado couldn't get an equally impressive MPG. Just sayin'.

There is not enough information out yet that indicates if the V6 engine is pushrod, or OHC. And as for a pushrod engine becoming "advanced", I ask you to look at the Corvette ZR1. It has a VERY advanced V8, that is still a pushrod engine.

As to the Silverado MPG comment, the Silverado is rated at 24 MPG highway, not 32. I am guessing a typo from trying to type 23?

Actaully if you really get scientific about it.. this is true... LOL

According to physics, we never touch anything, electric repulsion prevents us to do that. In physics, when two atoms "collide" they do not really touch each other, but interact through the electric force. Why our hands cannot pass through the wall ? Its because electric repulsion between our atoms, and the wall atoms prevent us to do that....

Sorry had to be a smart A$$

For what that thing costs they can afford to spend lots of money on an engine that began life 58 years ago. I'm sure with a little massage you could get that power from a 4L Toyota engine.

Toyota should respond in some way probably by lowering the price of the Tacoma or doing some slight changes.

Well if that is the case, then Toyota should get off their butts and get higher HP out of the 4L if your claim is correct. Yes, the pushrod engine is an old design, but it is a proven design, and can still push out real HP.
