I would. And probably get a body mount. Went to a guy's house that had a body mount Pie Bald doe actually. It's not very often you see one, so I'd probably do it.

Wouldn't mind the tanned hide. Would not mount it though./ Possibly a head mount, would end up in the closet though. How the meat would not go to waste. If the hide was soft tanned, could end up as a blanket/ rug.

Actually, might be a buck. Some of the other locals have mentioned to me they could have sworn last season there were small horns on it.

I didn't see it last year but did the years before. Honestly, I think it is just a doe also. The other guy probably was drunk when he saw it. By this time of the year, all the horns should be out anyways.

Congrats to all who scored.....that's a cool looking piebald. I shot one of those a few yrs ago. I'll post pic later. Very rare. I've been told its bad luck to shoot but I would do it again..............Who's hunting with a crossbow ? We have seasons now here where it is legal to use now and a lot of archery only area's plus I'm getting a little older. Going to set one up for next year, maybe sooner. Selling my Mathews Q2. What do you guys reccomend for a crossbow, brands, models and ones to stay away from ? It's a whole new world for me and any input would be great. Ive been doing a lot of research on the computer and every maker says there bows are the best, of course. Thanks and good luck. Still a lot of season left. :D

i have a tenpoint cls, top of there line, i spent 2k on it. very fast xbow and shoots like a dream. with that said you could buy a wicked ridge(same company as tenpoint) for 600 or 700 and have a killing machine. excalibur is another top brand. i would pick one of these two company if it were me.

Same, TenPoint - Carbon Fusion CLS if I remember correctly. I rarely use the easy draw system on it though. So used to pulling my own string ;)

Yeah...nice buck (at top). I've used Ten point also and the only complaint I have is the weight..(they may have lightened them up since...bout 6 yrs ago),but it's accurate as heck! Lot's of piebald deer in Virginia I noticed...always cool to see, but I'm also never prepared or in the right mindset.....I recall actually seeing an albino one that someone shot on the internet somewhere, but never seen one in real life.

Norther Louisiana, I was covered in blood about 5-10 minutes after that picture, we were planning on doing all the field dressing elsewhere, ended up changing our minds lol.

Lol, my cousin was smart enough not to try anything when I had a knife in my hand (my knives stay very sharp). We are going back out Friday and Saturday so hopefully I will get another then.

I wanted to take my first deer with my uncle. I've got access to 50 ish acres in North East Tennessee that I am gonna be hunting soon as well.
