The only thing that I have heard is that they are planning to make some option package changes. Rumor has it they want to add leather, XM, MP3 capability, a new kind of Traction Control System, and some other minor modifications.

I have not heard of any engine, body, transmission, or other major changes.

In my humble opinion (which I value greatly ;) ), if you are waiting for the next big thing to come out, then you will always be waiting. They (all corporations) try to make the next year's product better than the last.

Two questions really determine what you will buy: "what you need?" and "when you need it?"

I was waiting for them to come to the States with a D4D engine, but I couldn't wait any longer. I needed a light duty truck. That was the determining factor for buying my 007.

    Has anyone else heard anything???

I agree with 007. If you wait for the next redesign, you'll never buy a car. Anyways, I read on Edmunds I believe that Toyota doesn't plan a major redesign of the Tacoma until at least 2010 since the Tacoma is the class leader in the compact market. So until then just slight additions here and there. I would of liked to have the leather option if it was available. As for Satellite radio capability, I'm a bit leary now that XM and Sirius is merging. I bet they raise the prices to fund any merger. If your in the market now for a truck, deals can be had on the remaining stock.

If nothing else, the 07 prices will drop, when the 08s come in. Just be sure you can still find the 07 truck you want.

It's crazy that the OP profile number (or whatever it's called) is 116, and I'm nearly 79,000..... I wonder what it's at now?

I heard the Taco will get the Hilux's D4D diesel in 2008, better take out a home equity loan to finance it. [IMG]
