Haha, that's funny. Proably since he'd hit that trail so much before taking us down it. Idk, it was pretty damn hardcore for me. I know it wasn't a walk in the park for Bob either... If I'd hit it tomorrow id be a different story since I know that rock better and would be much more comfortable on it but it's crazy to wheel on that stuff. Either grip for days or like driving on marbles when you want grip!

They are painted! When you wheel on that shit you only touch up once a year... Drug my rear bumper all over the place and if I was on that stuff all the time would second guess powder coating it haha, and also got a few new scrapes on my rear diff skid and transfer case skid... Was fun just wheeling and not worrying about it!

I didn't have any god damn armor last time you wheeled with me though! I was fucked paranoid I was going to fuck up my rockers! Plus that was my 1st time wheeling and the truck was still brand fucking new really.
You guys are half to blame. You got me into it. Southeast Idaho Krawlers has pushed me the hardest. I get pushed pretty hard when I tend to be the least capable rig in the group yet I still want to do everything they do... The other thing that is interesting about SIK, is we don't spot a whole lot so I have gotten pretty good at getting myself through some pretty techical stuff without a spotter. I just have to pick a line through the windshield before I get there and remember it and stick to it. If I get hung up is when I either need a spotter, for the sake of time, or I just hop out and take a look and pick a new line and jump back in and try it out. It was almost odd to have Bob spot me as much as he did, but it is still nice to have an extra eye out there.
I was planning on painting them when the wheeling "season" was over, but I got caught up in school and now it is too fucking cold... It's hard to want to paint them when I go fuck them up every month.

I am just going to primer them. I found the cheap walmart primer actually matches my body pretty well (it's only on the top of the rear bumper right now...) and at >$2 per can you can't beat the price. The color match stuff I wanted is like $9/can and the cans are like half the size of regular rattle cans and it's still not a perfect match...

Aw... The sad thing about that 2nd video is that he didn't start filming until after the scary shit. I shifted really good twice right there and they both scared me a little. haha

    Thanks for the vids though!

Teeting on the pumpkin wasn't so bad. It was the sideways slide that go me there and then the sideways slide that got me out of there! Those made me pucker a tad. haha

Be prepared to cut the bolt off and use a torch to burn out the stock rubber bushings. Oh and the gas tank is right there so be careful with that torch Eugene.

It really is a crapp shoot. While mine was a PITA it wasnt as bad as I described. That was Mark's experience on the Raisin.

Yea its a crap shoot..mine came off easy..no problems at all.

The more moisture you see though..the harder it'll be..so your will be harder then mine but i bet not as bad as Mike's

either way. If we end up doing a meet in Wy again, i can install new leaf packs in a truck in 2 hours or less.

But i figured your next mod after the bumper and a few lights would be the rear setup..

It's also not hard to hop under neath the truck with a set of wrenches and see if they budge......Get some kroil or kreep and spray it on the parts you want to remove every time you walk part your truck. Worked wonders for getting my lca bolts out minus one....... My Lexus has had everything sprayed down loosened and our removed and than re installed and torqued already....

deffinately as stated above. I used some PB Blaster and some Liquid wrench every day for 2 weeks up til I did any work on the different areas of my truck. I was able to remove all the bolts/nuts without issue on my 05. Leafs, UCA's LCA's, ,etc.

Couple squirts on the bolts and nuts.

I have a 20lb tank. Biggest you can get for what we do. Its Aluminum.

Adjustable regulators are nice cause i can open it up to 200+ PSI for tire filling, and down to 90-110psi for air tools. Every tool has a maximum PSI rating. And for me, 90psi for air lockers.

You obviously won't have an air locker..so thats not a big deal for you. If you KNOW you'll only ever use it for tires you can just opt for the fix 150psi regulator.

Yea figured Leafs would be like..next fall/winters project while your tires and bumper goes on now.
