    Yes the mounts come this way now, it's so you can run a bigger "2.5" shock an have the clearence.

    How much lift you guys have in the back and how much shock shaft you have showing at ride height ? I got 3" leafs and about 4" of shock shaft showing.

    I'd like to hear the same as well... I have 5 1/2" of shock shaft showing at ride height. An the shocks have gotten real close to bottoming out with only moderate compression. Hey Jerry what you think about extending the lower mounts an inch? Could you cut/fab an add on to my lower mounts without having to cut the them off?

    I'm running a 285/70/17 tire, with 17x8.5 -6offset.. And the 2.5 clears the tires with normal driving but will rub when flexing. So I have a 3/4" spacer on order

    The lower mounts can be rotated down they dont have to be flush with the axle tubes. Extending them wont really make a difference. You should be matching the shock travel to your bump travel. Its good to leave about an inch of shock after full bump.

    This will vary with the shock though. Depends on extended and compressed lengths and shock body length.

    Yeah I mounted mine about 2" center of the hole from the bottom of the axle. The fox shocks I used are about 2" longer then those kings so I compensated for it. Using a flip kit and the stock bumps, I fully bumped with just a lil of shaft showing before hitting the rubber bushing on the shock. The bushing is 5/8" long. And fully flexed I used almost exactly 11" of the shaft

    I rotated them as far down as possible without interference of the shaft. Im just trying to gain an inch more up travel(shaft clearence before bottoming out), so I don't lose more up travel by adjusting my bump stop down. So making the brackets on the axle lower is not a good idea?

    Has anyone tried this reverse bolt setup yet or even mocked it up?

    If you drilled the hole in the bed I'm wondering if the bucket would still be put together the same way. If you picture how the small vertical pieces with the holes in them are configured... If you drilled through the back of the top section (against the bed) would that hole just provide access for the bolt to pass through or would it actually be able to support that side of the bolt?

    I don't think the plastic bed would be able to hold any kind of weight, so I think it's just for bolt clearance.
