Winch isn't the end-all be-all of recovery gear. Just another piece to the puzzle. You post made me go and put together a list of my recovery gear needs, I already have a winch but would like to be prepared for anything. ARB makes some pretty sweet bags though.

I got outta that game a while ago. Been too busy with Rigid, CVT, Airflow, Bruteforce Fab, and S-pod. Set up with all of them aside from S-pod currently. Still ironing out the details of that one.

Nice wish list and if you have the money OK, but for us that seem to be searching for lunch money daily, a "recovery" bag could be put together cheaper.

With that said, and before I go into it, let me state that a winch should be on the top of the list for any and everyone who ventures off the asphalt. If you can find the money to buy the truck, find the money to buy the winch. function over bling everytime. I've driven from coast to coast across the US and been wearing out my trucks for way too many years, and for the most part have done it without any additional lighting on my truck. But I would not leave the asphalt in Montana to explore without a winch on my truck.

    Anyhow,

Food for thought - a nail, pocket knife, or pen can be used to push in the valve stem and deflate a tire. There are plenty of air compressors that work great for around $50. I carry Two tow straps and an older short strap because I got it from work, but in a pinch the full length strap works great as a tree strap. OK, a good snatch block is a must as is a hi-lift jack.

Also, I would suggest you putting together your own bag based on what you want and need and not what some company thinks you need. Just my .02

I had 2 stacked on my undercover. Need 2 of whichever mount you want be it the locking or standard version and then. 2 of the extensions. You're done.
