    That's not a 2008, that's a 2009 or newer. But that noise is the VVT-I gear. It happens in the morning because it is loosing its oil pressure. There is a TSB for it to replace the gear.

    FWIW, after getting my 2nd gen stuck in some pretty thick and deep mud few weeks ago I just recently got it to drive right/run right again. It had felt like a different truck for a few weeks and made all sorts of weird noises. Even had to remove the brake rotors and clean it all up cause it sounded like nails on a chalkboard. 2nd gen def hates mud.

    nah, id love to see that happen again :p, that was fun...but not with this truck lol...ima stay away from the mud for awhile...but im still gonna do wheeling even if theres a little bit of mud around

    In addition to the mud post. It really helps if you drive fast through non-muddy puddles. Makes the mud just fall right out from your undercarriage and it's fun of course lol

    AWESOME, thanks jason, as usual, yea i just guessed it was around that year, i was too lazy to check the door jamb, i had dropped off a friend at the airport and her car is sitting at my apt, well.... since it's a tsb, and the car has 50,000 miles on it, i'm assuming it won't be covered :notsure:

    Best thing to get your undercarriage clean is to sit for about an hour in flowing water at least as deep as your rocker panels. Of course, you might have to change your diff lube after, but your truck will be spotless underneath. :cool:

    doing Okay...me and my girlfriend of 6 years broke up a month or so ago. So I have been struggling.

    But work has been great. Just trying to move forward

    I love my truck, but I am going to sell it to my little bro for a few bucks to help him out. He needs his first truck, and he will take care of it. I just want/need something newer to commute in.
