    Now, what is that? Did you build it? I tried attaching a 1.1 ounce keychain surveillance HD cam to the MXQ and it didn't fly very well.

    The main source of expenditure is going to be motors and speed controllers unless you go for a pro flight controller (which can be up to 2k). My Hex has 360 in motors and another 300 in speed controllers.

    Uh. It's beat to he//. But it's only 1 owner.
    Custom body work/damage ARB rear locker Bumpers Shocks Other parts Tires and Rims Air tank fully plumbed into truck "Golf ball mod"
    Fpv=first person view. Flying the quad by watching through the camera and a moniter, instead of standing there watching the quad fly around you.
    And. 1.1 ounce camera would be HUGE for the mxq! Which camera were you trying? You might try taking the case off and using the battery off the quad to run the camera. Every gram counts on these smaller quads.

    K, what's this Iris? Seems setting waypoints that it can automatically follow is pretty damned awesome, especially for filming/following things. Do you guys know anything about it or have opinions on it?

    Ive got a couple buddies that work at 3DR... The Iris is still developmental but meant to compete with the Phantom... The "autopilot" in that system is a modified PX4 called the Pixhawk that runs APM code and will eventually replace the Ardupilot Mega (APM).

    I'd hold off for a while until it's "done."

    Aw, that's cool you know them! Still in development, eh? Does that mean they give discounts? ;) When do they feel it'll be ready for primetime stuff?

    EDIT: Just found out that when the controller batteries go dead the copter stays on its course. :( MQX stuck HIGH in tree. :( Got it, but missing a lot of parts. lol Damn.

    My little mini quad took a few hard crashes yesterday and bent up my props and the battery flew out once :laugh: I swapped out a prop and kept on flying. My quad is tough!

    Spare parts easy to find for that thing? was thinking about getting one for my brother for christmas, but with only a single nitro truck, i'm not sure he's into the hobby enough to merrit a 1SQ.

    I bet they're trying to clear out the standard phantoms to get ready to flood the market with the new one with the built in camera.
