States selling 4x4 Reg Cab ???

Texas served by Gulf States Toyota. Ive not find any regular cab 4x4 Tacomas here. What states/ areas should I look? Thank you.

 

I see them on lots and driving around in georgia.

 

My local zip code is 30115 if you need to put that on the toyota website.

 

Currently unavailable in California.
5-lug only... no 4x4 or Prerunner in the RC.

Some are claiming this is the last year for the RC.

 

Yup... looks like SET has them.

SET also gets $2000 more for the base 5-lug.

 

I thought the Reg Cab was discontinued

 

Rumor is 2014 is the last... same people are speculating redesign for 2015.

IOTW: The 3rd Gen won't have an RC option.

I heard it on the innernet so we know it's true.

 

I haven't seen a prerunner rc on a dealer lot in a while, but I haven't been looking real hard either.

 

It is interesting that when I go on the Toyota web site, they say the 4X4 is not available in my area (Inland So Calif). One dealer said if you want one it has to come out of Arizona (???).

Yet....there has been a glut of low mileage ones on the used market, and they seem to be selling fast. Son picked up a 2013 with 4K miles, Toyota certified used (7 year/100K mile warranty on drivetrain, + 1 extra year on the original basic warranty!), for $21.5K. I like this little truck so much, I am looking for a low mileage used one myself, but don't want to pull the trigger until after I am sure I'm not going to have any bad surprises from the tax man this year.

As for there being so many low mileage used ones out there, got to imagine that folks buy these, then quickly decide that the single cab is just to small. None of them have had shells, and without that extra room, I can see how folks might get the longing for some extra space.....

 

Yea there kinda little on the inside, I came from a fullsize blazer and missed the extra space when I got the truck. I put a toolbox in to carry a few things around with me but after a while you get used to not being able to carry a bunch of extra stuff or you just pack.it in the truck better to fit more stuff.

 

I just checked dealers stock and in Texas there are 6 NEW in stock or on the way. And in the total 5 states that make up Gulf States there are 12 NEW in stock/on the way to dealer

With this reported to be the last year of the regular cab and a makeover coming in 2015, I am thinking now or never. I like the double cab as well, but love the minimalist base model layout of the single, as well as the 2.7L engine. Guess I will have to get a single soon, and get the wife a double later on.

 

There are 5 or 6 2nd gens listed on CarMax right now.

 

They go fast around here. If you have the urge to drive all the way to Richmond, Kentucky, they always have a 4x4 RC or 2 on the lot at Toyota South. Right now they have 3, 2 manny's 1 auto.

 

Neither are confirmed.

There will still be plenty of '14 RCs available when we find out if '15 is the redesign or not.

Like the Tundra, the redesign will appear at an auto show in the spring.

 

I found the Toyota website sadly lacking when I began to look for my Tacoma. I wanted an Access Cab PreRunner with the 2.7 and auto, but the website "build" page wouldn't give you that option. It showed the V6 as the only engine available in an AC Prerunner. It wasn't until I went to the dealers website and looked at their inventory that I found what I wanted.
