If you fold the Bestop Windows, will it ever go back to normal?

I just bought a Bestop canvas and windows from a fella on TW.

He folded all the canvas and windows and stuffed it inside a box and shipped it to me.

Now my question is, will the canvas and windows will go back to normal after being exposed to the sun? Or there will be creases on how he folded it the stuff up?

Because about a month ago, i intended to buy a Bestop from someone on the forum from cali, but he advised that he can't ship it because he couldn't find a box that fits.

Just need to make sure of this, if not i will file a dispute with paypal about this.

It sure will. How do you think Bestop ships theirs out? Just install it and it will go back to normal.

I thought Bestop puts it in a box big enough to fit everything w/o folding it up

They do but things still get folded up. After a day in the sun there are no creases. There was actually a time that I had my bike handle lean against a window during a trip and stretched out the window about 1.5" to 2" and I thought it would not go back to normal but after a day, like it never even happened.

I got mine from bestop the windows weren't folded but they had a nice paper diving them so it wouldn't be scratched.

When I take mine off and on I have to bend them slightly but I've never folded them, but I have noticed small streaks in the plastic after it store them but when it is put back on and in the sun a day or too they flatten back out

I roll my windows up tight when there not on and either leave them in the sun or near a heater and they straighten up easily.

The sun helps it straighten out but will eventually kill it as well. Use a protectant every 2-3 months. I used http://www.303products.com/ .

If they're anything like Jeep Bestop windows/canvas.....

What do you mean by - go back to normal?

I wouldn't worry about the canvas. It's the windows.... If they were folded, you might have 'white' crease marks where the folds were. Those white marks probably won't go away.

When shipping that stuff, they should be rolled up like a tube.

You could put them out in the sun...and hope they flatten out - but I'd be worried about the white crease marks. If you don't have white crease marks, they might flatten out and be Ok. Only time (and sun) will tell.
