I cut mine off right behind the axle where it is already firing down. then it is hidden and no need for welding or a tip plus if u cut it before axle unless you make it down firing you will get exhaust fumes on everything.

I like the idea of cutting it, but I have a magna flow muffler and would that make it louder in cab?

Depending on where you cut it, it might have a slight impact on cab noise. Personally, I'd put a nice tip on it. I found one that most closely resembles the TRD tip and had that welded on for $30.

I could buff it with my left hand, then technically it will feel like someone else.

Cut mine after the bend down. I was concerned becuase the hanger is back further near the muffler, but its completely fine. Didn't change anything at all and keeps the tail pipe out of the way when offroading.

Paint it or buy a nice tip, they're fairly cheap

I'd just leave it. Why put a tip on? You can't see it when you're driving! And if you look at it from the rear, you'd see an small ugly pipe going to a shiny tip. Still looks ugly/goofy in my opinion. If it bothers you that much, sand it down until it's shiny again. Or you could just paint it black..

you could always paint the whole pipe black and then an exhaust tip would look nice, when I put my black exhaust tip, I painted the whole pipe matte black and it matched up perfectly

Cut it off if it won't present a problem with emissions testing.

I have some extra black caliper paint maybe I'll hit the first foot or so. I'll hit it with some scotch bright then I'll see how it looks from there. I'll post pics tomorrow on how it goes
