    Look the same just maybe a custom larger shaft..but shock itself I bet is the same.

    For the money. Better off with saws or saving up a tad more and getting foxes or kings or icons.

    I was thinking of going with the toytec boss coilovers since I want 3.5" of lift up front. If they are a piece of shit I would rather pay for icons or fox 2.5s.

    Actually the SAWs might do.

    I should clarify, they took the shock in and out of the coil, not off the truck lol

    First off...yes..id go for a different coil over as you can valve it to your truck and rebuild it later down the road and basically never have to get another whole front coil over again. Plus you can make them extended travel for when you get UCAs and bam. Mid travel front.

    Second off...you can't do 3.5'' up front. period. So get that out of your head right now. You'll bind your CVs even just mall crawling around like you do and blow boots as the fins will be touching all the time. use the adjustablity to your advantage and find the perfect amount of lift to where the fins barellllyyy touch at all and save your CVs. Plus, that'll mean less preload on the coils and that mean overall a much smoother ride.

    I have a ripped boot I've been running for ages. I used to blow them all the time so I gave up lol. One of them has been surviving for a while though. I need to do the boot slide mod.

    I have LR UCAs so I will go mid travel. What do I need to do to the SAWs for that? Icon sells a mid travel.

    Toyotec and Sonoran steel both say their 4runner kit gives 3.5" of lift up front. Lots of guys are running it. I will have weight up front though so it won't be 3.5" after weight.

    Hmmm..i don't..might be able to find one though.

    I have the Eibachs which in all relaitly..over lift the truck to 3.25'' or so. Making the boots rub right off the bat. Why i have blown two..

    SAWs, Foxes, Kings, and Icons can all be made mid travel. AKA extended travel. Only difference between a non extended and estended coil over is a small internal spacer. All you do is remove it and fit it with a smaller one and boom. Extended travel for about 1'' more droop..aka..mid travel. From there, its all about custom valving which..you can do on any of those COs.

    Yes the toytechs give up to 3.5'' lift...so do all the others. If you compress the coils enough with the adjustable colars, they will all go that high.

    Doesn't mean you should though. And i can almost promise most those guys aren't at 3.5''. Ever.

    Yes the weight is all part of the pros of adjusting them. Adding a winch or skids or second battery? no problem, just crank em back up to gain the .5'' you lost form the 50-100lbs or whatever.

    But that doesn't mean you should go 3.5'' every time. You need to watch the boots. An again, the more you compress the coils...the stiffer they are gonna ride. And then you'll want to change the valving. but valving can't fix everything.

    Go out and feel the boots that are touching. I bet you can feel grooves being wore out. If they are super bad, id back off the CO a bit.

    Yea..haha i remember how grooved out mine where after just a month..

    did the boot slide mod but didn't help that much..
