That's what I've been thinking. Honestly, Corbett was bone dry a week ago, and you see how wet it was...I can only imagine how deep it is down there now...

Was planning on going, but don't want to make the trip for nothing...or damage my truck...

Maybe we can do something else...?

I will not be making the drive unless someone else goes to scout it out before hand. I know it was pretty wet last time from what I was told. That was after a pretty good dry spell...its been raining for a few days, so I doubt it'll be better than it was...

Awesome video & DAMN that place is huge!

I like that it's not very muddy but the sugar sand will be my greatest challenge being 2WD. Especially eater crossings with sandy terrain. The place I used to go to on nw 41st floods easily so you can drive through & even stop in the middle. The terrain is mostly gravel with light sand. Too bad FPL closed it.

Tac1 is going to be heading out to scout the place.
I really don't think it will be any better than when we went last time.

If we see its not worth it, we'll let you guys know before you head down.
don't want anyone making a long drive for no reason.

I like that colbert place though......

That was one of the two times I used 4wd. Got stuck and started cursing up a storm. Then reached for the 4wd shifter. It was a beautiful thing.

Well, with the two recent trips to JW Corbett, my engine bay was disgusting...had to do something about that. Took me about an hour and a half, but it didn't come out too shabby considering it was basically caked in mud before. Wish I had before pictures, but this is the closest picture of what I was looking at.

Stiff paint brush to brush away debris, cover electronics with Publix bags, spray with simple green, and (on lowest setting, and from a distance) hit with pressure washer. Let air dry...Then sprayed WD40 on a rag and went to town. Wipe dry. Remove covering from electronics and wipe them down as well...

Took like an hour...to clean the stuff off the hood, WD40 on a towel also does wonders.

I've done it on previous cars...if you just spray WD40, it collects dirt like crazy...if you wipe it on and rub it in so that it's dry to the touch, it is fine.

Now, just gotta stay away from mud...

Good luck with the staying away from mud part.

Im talking with jmangone, about changing his birthday
Meet from the hump to cobert instead ( i think im spelling it
Wrong) anyway. I think it would be better out there so we dont
Have to deal with the flooded hump....

Let me know your thoughts on this?

I'm down with that...it should be a little bit dryer by the 15th also, giving us a bit more of the trail we can hit.
