Well this is what happened *** boy. I am ASE, ASSET, and FMC Dealer certified, AS degree in Advanced Automotive repair and a Bachelors degree in Automotive Service Management.
And you know the check lists then we all fly through them on new cars but I don't change oil much who wants .2 not me I mean if it's slow that's one thing. I always check front end play when I check tire pressure and while I'm looking and inspecting the tires.

I haven't done tie rods yet but the CSB requires you to press out the u-joint. If you're proficient, you can do it all under the truck but I've been removing the whole drive shaft so I can work on it on a bench so I don't drop any of those needle bearings. I think that's why he made the comment he'd rather do tie rods than the CSB.

Also, I'm not sure if you saw my post in the NE thread but don't buy the Dorman CSB from Rock Auto. I'm replacing my 2nd one this weekend, I got under 1,000 miles out of each one before it started squeeling. I think Dorman is shipping them dry and it's a sealed bearing so you can't grease it before install. I'm replacing it with an OEM one, lost faith in Dorman. Fortunately, Rock Auto has been great to deal with and are helping me with the warranty and refund process.

The one that's in the truck now I think is Dorman it lasted 3 weeks. I have a National one now. As for removal I drop the front half and go to the bench because I take my time and want too look around and tinker idk it's something I do when I work on my shit not others. But anywho 30 mins to get it done. Never had to use a press.

I think you started your own issues with your automotive career with your posts about installing shitty parts on customer cars and being okay with it cause it got you paid....

You sound like a slimy guy - Shooting for free parts for no reason - That kinda bullshit is why customers routinely get a hard time trying to get parts replaced/work done under warranty or when real mistakes happen.

Oooh, 1st Gens must be different. You can't get the CSB off of a 2nd Gen without pressing out the u-joint right behind it. I've got the swap down to about 1.5 hours myself

There are no issues with what I do for work! What posts do you speak of? Oh when your boss says do this and you're not okay with it and they still insist you do it? I do excellent work and yeah we all make a miss diag or a miss something. But like I said he didn't get for free play that's like the fist thing I do after I have the lift up to my height. Then I look at tire wear for any chopping, inner or outter wear, center too. Put some light in near the axles look around for anything (Quickly) see a 2 bad lower ball joints I'll recc the 2 then tell my boss that doing all 4 would prevent them from coming back in the future (solid axle speaking not IFS)

The fact is they said my steering was fine when it is not. The amount of play and they let me leave the dealership after saying its nothing to worry about.

And the fact after that is - It was bad when you brought it in - so they didn't cause it and you would have had to pay for it anyways. So you whined your way into free parts for no reason.

BTW - Posts like this one:

That bold part is where you justified cutting corners on paying customers cars. All the rest is you bragging on yourself...which it's funny - Anyone can say anything on the internet.

There is another. Seems shady is your MO.

    Oh - And this gem:

You mighta gotten caught and lost time at work, but my opinion - That should gotten you arrested.

Nevermind the damn tie rod ends or whatever being "missed" by you and the first dealership visit, how the fuck are you not crying about the ripoff part being the ass raping you took on that invoice? 1700+ for that piddly nonsense? Stupid waste of money. The time spent jerking around back and forth to dealership to get some freebies woulda been plenty of time to have just knocked all of it out way fuckin cheaper and quicker yourself. Not even embarassed a little posting up that invoice supposedly being a "tech"? Failworld extrodinaire...............

Majority of the people on this forum take their cars to the dealer. Most of them have no clue how to work on their truck, they just install the lift according to the instructions. The Tacoma is a real yuppie truck, many have no clue what they are doing so they just take it to the dealer and pay what ever it cost to get fixed, they have no idea whats wrong with it. They'll pay the $25 for a reverse light bulb not $3 from Walmart and install it at home. Not pointing fingers or saying any names but it's a FACT. Yes you can take advantage of a customers car, But is it me the tech..... NO it's the service writer selling all this bullshit that I don't even know what is in it and if it even works I think its a waste and would never pay for it.
    - Brake System Flush we use a Valvoline Product......what i do at home is just flush brake fluid till it comes out clean. Not sure what there product is.
    - Cooling system flush This is what I hate being told to do at work and our SM always tells us Drain & Fill. I will drain and fill if watching other than that full flush the old way.
-Trans Flush, most of the truck owners ask drain and fill or flush. flush machine isn't hard to use I hook up at the cooler i've seen other techs shove it down the dip stick tube which I would do.
We have a fuel cleaner and air induction service and I recc them all the time. I cant even count how many times my SM has told me "just put the shit on the shelf....they'll never know"
