So I buy the stuff to start modding my grille cuz I'm gonna do the Jamoshi with my new devil horns emblem, and my wife flips out on me. She says 'why would you spend money to soup up your nice new truck when it's perfect the way it is?' Meaning nearly stock. All I've done is put on a soft tonneau and added xtra d rings in the bed.

I know, I know, she doesn't understand. She'll never understand. I gotta tell you tho, it's this friggin site!! It's evil!! It's making me want to do all kinds of mods to my Taco and I can't stop!

It is the site! Pure evil I tell you. Taking every penny from me.

Anyway my wife thought I was a bit crazy as well when I started chopping up the grille to do the Satoshi. When she saw the end result she was actually liked it and said it look much better than stock.

Just go ahead and mod it, hopefully you get the same end response as I did.

My wife gave me the same response when I told her I was going to color match my chrome grill. She is not too excited about me blacking out my truck. Just wait til she sees me doing the satoshi mod :).

Make sure she see's you doing the Satoshi just as you finish cutting the center bars out and tossing them to the trash. Bonus points if you're using a dremel since there should be a nice burning plastic smell in the air. I'm sure any wife would love that.

I have 2 vices in life....Softball and my Tacoma. I have an awesome wife who understands that I could be out cheating, drinking at the bar, or gambling like some men do ...

explain to her that there are a lot worse things you could be doing than playing with your truck

I remind my wife all the time on other things I could be doing, like cheating on her, hanging out at bars afterwork, etc...Although I do drink quite a bit on the softball field. :p

But with 2 young kids I try to get things done when they're sleeping...On the weekend my wife and kids usually sleep into 9am so I'll wake up at 5am and get at least 4-5 hrs of time to myself to work on the Tacoma. It sucks having to wake up at 5am on my day off but I got to spend time with the wife and especially my kids.

Ask visa or my wife. They both constantly remind me how much I've got left to spend.
I tell my wife I could be out drinking or gambling so give me this one vice and she is cool as long as she get me to do her mods to the house. I'm getting a supercharger in Dec and she is getting new counter tops for the kitchen. Also I agree this site is nightmare fuel and is pure evil especially the group buys. Nothing worse than being the one person on here that doesn't participate and have what everyone else has. Especially after they get it installed and start bragging in every other thread, yeah I'm talking about you grillcraft satoshi guys, some day I'll be one of you but not today.
