Well with the help of a couple fellow TW'ers last night (TacoAlaMode and jspadaro) I was able to get the bumper and winch installed. Still have to find time to paint and install the heavy winching plates and respool the winch line but I at least have the bumper on now!!!!!!




and this is where/how I mounted the remote solenoid



hopefully TacoAlaMode will log on shortly and post up the pics he took of the process and all.

Thank you Colin! Could not have done the install without your knowledge and such for the winch. The green definitely stands out, so far I just have the excess coiled and tucked behind the headlight as you can kind of see in the pic. We will see how that works out and go from there. Still have to install the "heavy winching" reinforcement plates and then finish the in cab part of the switch wiring for the wireless remote, not to mention respool the winch line with a load on it. Hopefully I can knock that stuff out over the next week and will be able to test things out This coming Sunday at a somewhat local offroad park.

 

Keep the extra cable. it's worth a little extra clutter under the hood, to be able to drup the bumper to the ground (or at least lower it on a jack aa little bit) without having to unhook the winch every single time.

 

yeah I rem you telling me that, I hadnt planned to shorten the cable, just to possibly reroute it if the current position doesnt work... not sure how I would go about a reroute, but heck hopefully it will work fine where it is. I was able to run the positive lead to the battery on top of the radiator, under that plastic cover part of the fan shroud. The support structure for that had a couple extra holes in it that made it just right to run a ziptie through to hold the cable off the top of the radiator, yet keep it hidden.

 

Looking awesome Jim!...Hahaha. Looks like my new pic for your front page will already be getting replaced. I am waiting right now on receiving my shipment from Relentless Fab for my front bumper. Already have my winch ready to install. Once I get the bumper in place then the dual battery setup will go in with the isolator, as well as the custom jumper cable setup. I like the way your truck looks. Awesome.

 

Looks sick dude!! What winch did you go with? I just ordered a winch this weekend finally.
