We were on our way up to Minnesota for the holidays and my wife took over driving, she hit black ice and we rolled 1.5 X and landed on our side. Trucks totalled. On a side note... Tacodane, I have an axel with e-locker in it for you for less than an arb would cost you...

Well I hoping you both made it out ok. Jeez the truck got some good damage on the roll for sure. Sry about the truck tho. On a side note cost of this e locker? May be tempting

    I'm voting for a 3rd Gen 4Runner.

Scott, did you get to say hello to Joe Riley and his dogs?

Hahahahahaha that's freaking hilarious. Are you thinking of parting out everything that you can?? I'd take your compass/temp console off your hands? I have a project that I want to try.

Ha shut my base down for a day. It was really nice. Since snow isn't common in Florida.lol but have to say when that shit melts and freezes to ice, you end up getting tired of busting your ass slipping even when getting out of the truck.lol hoping for more in dec

So I pulled the trigger, next mod will be headlight retrofit with BHLM, amber halos and demon eye mod.
Then by tax season I should have enough cash to get the OME suspension kit and that will be the mods for now due to the fact that ill be due for a kid in July. But will be saving slowly so I could continue the RTT setup I want.

All right guys, I think I'm just going to take the rolled taco to the auto auctions here in town. I don't really wanna take the time and hassle of parting it out unless I get some real interest in the main components (engine, trans, transfer case, diffs/axel...) Was thinking of chopping the top and make it a beast but I'm not enjoying off roading like I used to... What do you all think?

Change is inevitable and often needed. I hear ya. I like getting out into the great outdoors and enjoy offroading with the truck but with getting older, I don't like spending all day in the cab and I like staying closer to home base.

After getting out to Cedro peak, I'm really considering dusting off the mountain bike or lacing up the hiking boots. I'm planning on keeping my truck since it can get me to any trail head but there are times I wish I could carry passengers better. Starting to consider a 4Runner or Landcruiser more and more (maybe even an FJCruiser). If I got one, I'd build it up to make it capable but main focus wouldn't be off-roading. Not sure where I'd do things differently, possibly going lighter on the armor.

You got time to think about it. I'm thinking the beast build would be resource and time intensive and would never get done. Not sure how many times you'd get to a point where you just want to dump it off at the junkyard.

I think you'd be better served to consider if there are other vehicle models that can be found for a reasonable price that will still let you enjoy the outdoors. Lots of 4WD Toyotas out there and with a little love and care, Heeps are reasonable.

That was one thing I liked about your truck, setup up more for hitting the great outdoors instead of pure off-roading.

If someone would like to swap my rear axle for theres so they could have a rear locker let me know, we could come up with a price... Would be cheaper than going with an air locker. It's in great mechanical condition, diff fluid has been changed about every 25,000 miles. Also if there are other parts people are interested in swapping. Let me know. I have a hard topper for sale also, it is tan and has new lift glass/locks/shocks... Thinking $400.
