    This is pretty cool. I now have finite element software to use at work. Today I analyzed a set of lifting eyes attached to a flange to make sure that their placement in line with the bolt holes wasn't an issue. It turns out we're all good. Now to figure out how to use this software to my advantage. :)

    My only problem is that I do not have access to a 3D modeling software. I have cad, but it's a dumbed down version that's only 2D. If I want to run something for work I have to get one of the designers to create the model for me.

    I'm looking for some freeware that will allow me to create 3D shapes and be able to be imported into simulator.
