    Anyone know a good laptop with a backlit keyboard for less than about $300?

    I think my laptop has finally died. Already spent $200 for a new screen; not about to spend another $50-100. Laptop isn't worth it.

    Ouch.. I put a new screen on my free laptop for $79. You won't find much in the way of a good laptop for $300. (my definition of good)

    Well, I'll probably have a little more. Just looking for one with a lit keyboard for nights. It's quite a pain to have to close the laptop a little to get enough light on it so you can type.

    Yea, I know what you mean. Get a good one without lights and hook up some LED strips to a USB port!:cool: Or turn on a light lol. My work laptop has a light at the top of the screen that shines down.

    Don't really want to mess with Craigslist. Never really know what you'll get. And i'm looking around at different laptops right now, seeing which are good or not.

    Haha, true. I may end up just taking my mom's laptop. It's the exact same as mine, and it wouldn't cost me anything. She just wants a tablet or ipad instead. I'll probably do that and just save my money for my lift. ;)

    lol, $300 for a laptop. Mine was around $1200 and it sure as hell ain't enough machine. Its hella nice, but its a damned "Ultrabook" and isn't truly what I need. What I would much rather had is one with a backlit keyboard, i7 processor runnin somewhere around 2.4 GHz, dedicated graphics, and it would also be lovely to have more than 2 USB ports as well as a built in cd tray.
    Had I of known, I would have taken back after it was given to me and just got money back. Then buy a more powerful laptop for cheaper off the Lenovo website.

    What is fun is bending the screen back casually in front of people as they watch in horror thinking your breaking it.
