Yeah leaf spring solid axles aren't exactly race carish haha. But i bet his did corner a lot better than stock. Lower cog ftw for handling, not for ground clearance though!

Honda cars are great for what they are. The s2k is a great car and even the rsx and civic si and the integras are great even though being fwd. they can handle really well and yet can still put power down. Revline motorsports here in Kansas City used to have the fastest civic in the world before he moved on.

Edit: but rwd is a blast to drive. I have honestly let go of thinking any car is better than any other. So many cars are great platforms now that they can really do anything and be made to do perform however. Even electric motors can be fun cause they have instant torque output to each wheel. The new gtr is coming out with electric motors.

We do most of our drivers training in rsx's and they're a blast when not under steering haha. They also have a race prepped S2000 that will come around on you before you know what happened. Perfect for teaching car control

Your school have sae projects? That's the fast track into the automotive industry. Most do Baja or formula sae.

Yup get on that. Start reading chassis dynamics books so you can convince the team that you should design the suspension. Basically my entire resume was Baja sae.

It's all about how you setup the car. Sway bars and spring weights can change a car from under steer to over steer very easily. I had setup my integra to be neutral for the most part.

I did Baja for my senior project (this was not my choice, I wanted to do formula) and I hated it. Maybe it was who I worked with and the dumbass auto kids who didnt know much but copy the Baja they made the year before and their program they were trying to do. I was wanting to create a formula car based on what me and my friends know but previous years at our college never made it to competition cause they couldn't tune it. So our "advisor" essentially said we can't.

I love cars though and that is really what I would like to get into. I know enough to compare with my friends who went through the auto program at school but understand how materials work and how to stress test prototypes.

Our school had the gayest formula SAE team. We used to have a Baja team and it died off. We tried to restart it but all the formula people thought it was stupid.
