cool thanks. valving is spot on, did it with fabien a while back, but my leafs are completely clapped so i assume that that is the cause. time to throw these f55's on.
on that note, anyone know the width and length of spring perches, u bolt plates, spring hangers and shackle hangers? im hoping to order everything to finish the rear tomorrow, but im not sure if ruffstuff will know exactly what i need. any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Just went out and measured and it would come out about an inch and a half or so.. I'm having Btf make me custom mounts to have it hang over my windshield so it won't be directly on my roof. I think the curve on the windshield will make up that inch?

Its possible..i think it'll look a tad strange..but won't matter much. Might end up being a bit tricky to make the mounts but again. If your up for it and won't mind it being wider, go for it!

    Be anxious to see it.

what do you guys think of this? rear end could be a little beefier but other than that... prettyyy clean. thinking about making the switch, only shitty thing i see is the automatic... but that can be swapped. thoughts on those beams?

Yeah I'm pretty conflicted. I ran some numbers, and to get what i need to do done to the truck (coils up front, bumps, rear leafs mounted and engine cage), and I'm already almost doubling what I have into it so far, not to mention a cab cage. And still have no bed, no AC, no power steering, and its a single cab. So just trying to figure out if I want to essentially double what I have into it, and have something i can beat on decently hard and I'm familiar with, but is terribly impractical.
One concern of mine is the difference in street handling with beams vs a arm. Everything I've read says A-arms are superior on road due to camber change throughout the cycle, and some have mentioned beams being prone to rollover (? maybe thats just for unequal beams), not to mention them roasting tires on the street. Having never driven a beamed truck, let alone a long travel one, I have no idea what to expect, but I do enjoy the lean and grip that I have now.

both my buddies have lt's beamed rangers.. tires to get worn fast. me and one of them bought some used bfgs all terrains right around the same time and his are pretty much done now. as far as handling... i dont mind it. its not bad at all i think.

Honestly dude, if I was in your situation and had no power steering, no AC and a rear end that needs work, I would probably pick this up if it worked with my budget. Not a fan of I-beams, but it seems pretty clean.

3.4 swap/sc... You're set. I went in a run with an older 4runner here couple weeks ago with a 3.4 swap. That thing was cool

My 4runner has a 3.4 S/C swap. It hauls haha. Hey guys I am about to pull the trigger on everything to longtravel the rear of my 4runner. Now Is there a big difference in running 12" shackles about or through the frame rather then a 6" shackle below the frame. Th reason I ask is my rear body mount is in the way to run the 12" shackle above the frame.
