Hey everyone, I've been lurking here the past 5-6 years on Tacoma World. Been waiting since the '05 model year and now it became possible, so I bought my first Tacoma last week, a 2014 Double Cab V6 SR5 4X4 6-speed in Magnetic Gray.

Wanted a TRD Off-Road Access Cab 4x4 6-speed, but none of them were in that configuration locally. Regardless of that, I'm already enjoying it!

Thanks guys! I already was thinking of mods before I finished signing the papers.:D The funny thing is that these are built here in SA, yet they couldn't order what I wanted by the end of the year. So I went with this.

Nothing wrong with that! The SR5 is a good package to start off with if you're going to lock up the rear diff and do some suspension mods.

BTW nice build! I like the SR5s and would've been also fine with a base model in two tone. I'm very glad that they had a color (MGM) I loved, but my main gripe was the stock steel wheels and I forgot to order the TRD or Baja wheels. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait on suspension mods for at least several months. I do look forward to it though!

If you could help, I am actively looking for black wheels to replace the stock ones and need some assistance. Would it be better to ask here or in the "Wheels & Tires" section? I have some examples, but unfortunately the P245/75R16 tires have posed a problem regarding backspacing.

I need something similar that is 16x7, with 5" backspacing and under $350-375 for a set of 4. Don't mind if it's steel or aluminum. Some of these are the style I like the most or anything similar.

Thanks! I am very much, but gotta watch my wallet due to X-mas shopping.:( Thank you for your help, but I noticed my problem is that I'm told the '14 DCLB SR5 4X4 wheel/tires have a 5 inch backspace and anything that's less than that will stick out. I'm not sure how that looks or if it will also affect the brake calipers. Do you think I'll be okay? BTW I like your build!

Mine's a base model but I dont think there's any difference between the two. I've been running these with no problem for about 4 years. They'll go.

Are your tires still 245/75/16? If so, these might be ideal for me.

LMAO! :DI have great plans for 2014 with the Taco, but gotta plan it carefully. Outside first(wheels, tires, lift, etc.), inside second(upholstery, shift knob, etc.).

Thanks! You'll find there's some leeway in your backspacing as long as you run tires that are not too big. A lot of guys get real finicky and want that flush look. Cruise the wheel threads and you'll pick up a lot of great info, what works and what doesn't. Also keep your eyes peeled for what gets posted for sale. You can get some nice alloys on the cheap! Guys around here change up wheel and tire combos like some people change socks.

TW is the place man. I do like those black rocks, and was checking them out when I first got the truck. I'm not too much of a wheel guy, primarily because I'm just going to get them chewed up off road. I got a set of 5 Pro Comps, so my spare matches and I can rotate it in with the others.

    I added my build here:

Thanks, I plan to do some off-roading (already have twice) and probably haven't thought about the damage factor. I bought some NV 305 matte race wheels from Method.
