I think this is only true for Kings but DSM will confirm (or not).

3" I.D. King coils are available up to 700#. I am pretty sure that DSM said the highest available Eibach for the Fox's is 650#. Not sure its possible or even desirable to put a king coil on a fox shock.

 

when i talked to them, they said they could put a 700lb king coil on a fox shock no problem.

Eibach should make a 700lb..

 

I don't think Eibach has a 700# coil that works with the Fox. I kno this is not definitive but I spoke to a Fox rep at the 4wheel parts show last year and asked. We could not find anything in his catalogs. Also, Micah at DSM told me the Fox's came with 600# coils but could be special ordered with 650# coils.

I'm pretty sure they get these coils pre-assembled so doing a king coil on a fox shock might get complicated. But as I said before, DSM will kno the answers to all of this.

 

DSM would do the 700lb King coils onto fox shocks in house i bet.

But i find it odd as i know Eibach makes 700lb coils..wonder why they don't offer them in 14'' or whatever it is.

 

I have wondered that myself. I considered purchasing a 2.5" Fox CO until I found I could not get them with a 700# Eibach coil. Would be perfect for my setup.

 

yea must be 12'' coils that go on normal coilovers..on here only goes up to 600. But a 14'' goes up to 700.

I wonder if you called and asked Eibach if they could make em...

I assumed they are 14s like my SAWs. My coild are listed there, 1400.250.0650S. No 700#'ers for my setup.

It does look like there is a 1400.300.0700S. I would think that would be the one to work on Fox 2.5" COs. Hmmmm....

I just spoke to DSM.

700# coils are available for Fox 2.5" COs and DSM will assemble them for you but you have to purchase the COs with 600# coils and you also have to purchase the 700# coils. You cannot get them from Fox configured with 700# coils. You end up with extra 600# coils.

King is different. The 700#er's can be purchased pre-assembled from King.

The new ADS brand is also available but only with external resi, standard length shock travel only and 650# coils.

and dang..so better..well, cheaper anyways, to just go straight to king.

 

Icons are thr same way. They come with 650's so it costs extra to go to 700's.

 

And no extended travel option, nor is there an IFP version either.

My 650s are just barely adequate for the weight I carry. And they are beginning to settle again. Makes no sense that these shock makers don't offer a 700# package as a factory option.

 

My 656 lb springs have tons of preload and they still sagged like a mofo... these ORI's are pretty sweet. I just need to pick up an N2 setup to better adjust them as they break in. Need to get my rear done so I can level out my ride. I have some ganrly bro lean going on!

 

Not suprised there isn't an extended travel option for ADS yet. They just started doing OEM shock replacements.

But yea..i can't wait to have 700lb coils...on 18'' springs

barely fit..but the way to go.

 

I'll bet they barely fit! Haha. You'll probably have some preload on them with the collar backed off all the way. That was part of the problem with 886's. They are still squished 2-3 inches with the schock fully extended. That preload helps with lift though. Haha

 

yea pretty much, they get preloaded a bit. But they handle much better then a 16'' preloaded more. and lets be real..my truck aint exactly light anyways..haha
