    Changed out the shifter seat in the 5speed with the Marlin crawler one.

    Couldn't for the life of me get the shifter socket off... almost took a chisel to it but then remembered who I am and what my luck is like.

    Besides, both the factory shifter seat and socket looked brand new.

    Took it for a ride, I can notice a little difference in how tight it feels when moving through the gears. My shifter "dances" a lot less in 5th gear now.

    I imagine if I was able to put the Marlin Crawler shifter socket on it would make a noticeable difference.

    Overall, it's a decent upgrade. If your seat or socket are damaged, this is a huge upgrade for under $20.

    I did not change out the shfter socket either. Looking at the Marlin Crawler one and the stock one, they looked to be the same and the old one didn't show signs of wear. I couldn't get the old one off without taking channel locks or vise grips to it so I left it.

    I'm visiting family in Lincoln Nebraska so I figured I would check craigslist for any plate bumpers someone is trying to get rid of. And what do you know!!! A guy has a tacoma ARB! I'm pumped, going to pick it up in the morning. Hopefully all goes well.

    Added quite a bit of blood to the taco's tailgate tonight; Broke my marlin 336 in, hell of a shot too.. ~90 yards, iron sights, almost dark, quartered and walking towards me. In the ear and out the neck = broken neck and dropped.
