I know that it's yours, and you always see the imperfections when it's yours. But when I saw your truck, it just looked great to me. I never would have noticed it as wrong.

Any chance to DJ atop those racks yet? Be sure to post pics once you do. Ooh, hey, laser light show mounted to those racks.....

    Cheers!

Ahh sorry to see this. The folly of reading backwards. Yeah, wouldn't stand on it just yet. Maybe you need to get the help of 4 little hands you have available. My Dad used to tell me "your fingers will heal, the car won't. Don't scratch anything" lol.

looking good. One question, are you planning on crawling this build or getting massive flex out of your setup? Just asking cause you have those rear airbags....unless you already removed them.

Ah that's good. Air bags are great for weight but terrible for offroad. :)

I'd thought about putting an air tank in the fender before. Hadn't ever actually looked in it.

If they are empty, and have an alignment cup, so only attached to one side, why would it matter?

You could use a GM air brake tank to match your springs.

True. Single point with alignment cup would do it.

Alright. After a couple hours again on the rack. I finally have the feet on the rails.

Broke one of the bolts in half. Stripped out one of the nuts. When u=you strip out a NUT, only way to get it out is to drill. So that was two trips to HomeDepot.

Funny thing is, they are out of the M8 1.25 16mm - So it was either the 12mm or the 20mm - Went with the 20mm.

By the time I finished up, dark again. Have to get them level with the front rack and we will be good to go. In the pictures you can see there is plenty of room for the adjustments to be made. Since the top part of the feet have an elongated hole, thats roughly 10mm of adjustment.

Nicely done. Hope it wasn't I who stripped any of those nuts. I wasn't 100% sober when you handed me your impact driver. :D

I'm glad you are almost done. Seems you are always working on that rack in the dark! Must be the Dejay in you, best work @ night. :D

Looking great as always Sky! My plans for the truck (and you to help if you were available :D) may be on a temporary hold. Thinking about finally picking up a beginner bike to continue learning on.

I have been checking CL off and on for a while and just happened across an 05 Ninja 250 this morning that looks to be in good condition and for a fair price. I just want a cheap one that I will not worry about laying down because it is not a question of if I lay down, it is when. If/when I go to look at it, I'm having a knowledgeable friend from the firehouse come with me to make sure it is not half-broken  since I do not know that much about bikes.

I definitely respect driving on two wheels around here. I plan on learning/riding on my street for quite a while before I even think about taking it out on the 35-45 MPH roads. I have ridden a couple times, but need the most practice on just getting it going in first.

Eventually I think I want to buy a new Ninja 300 (new fuel injected in 2013) or possibly a Ninja 650 if I really started feeling comfortable, but I will be on the beginner for quite a while.

In my seek for light, I came across this. Kind of the plan for the front of the truck. Was considering the LightForce product and the 240's were interesting.
