    Springs are 2.5" wide
With bushings in at the pivots, mount width is 3.0"

This might be a stupid question but ill ask anyways.
For those of you, tcyota and happysmiley, who have built your own long travel how did you work out the geometry the first time or did you reuse the factory geometry and add in some castor at ride height?

Just extend your stock arms 3" and plate them

Anyone know if there is a 6 lug rim/tire combo that was intended as a donut spare ? Im looking for ways around building a drive over fender trailer, or modifying one. It would be easy to pop on some skinnies and squeeze between a standard width trailer.

haha funny, that's a terrible idea.
Im thinking about doing it like DTF did, mock up out of scrap tube, jig it, and then make it out of plate

Lol that's the way to do it, dtf is always very helpful and willing to answer questions, may want to hit him up. But jigs with trial and error seem to be the way to go

How to build your own kit is such a can of worms question.
The people who usually pull it off are the people who figure it out on their own.

I actually don't think it's that hard, especially when you're using stock frame pivots and spindle geometry.

Once you do it though, you understand why a nice kit costs what it costs, and that they are actually pretty damn cheap.

If you have tools, a place to work, something else to drive, are mechanically inclined, and take pride in your work, you can do it no problem.

Or buy a used kit from a reputable company.

I normally start with the stock lower measurements, extend it however far you want , push it forwarded an inch or so the tires clear the wheel well. Make an adjustable lower arm with these demensions with the uniball cup able to pivot to get the right angle on it. Then make an adjustable upper that you can make longer/shorter to set camber and start cycling ! I personally shoot for about 6 deg castor at ride height gaining up to 12 deg at bump , then 0 deg camber at ride height and a few deg neg at bump/droop, that will help with cornering and eliminate some bump steer . Just take your time and cycle over and over !

Correct. On the perch, it will be 2.5" spring and 3" axle.

The TC hangers and Shackles would work good. Then Synergy perches and plates.

I stock them all. Can get you TW prices on it, and the TC stuff is currently on Black Friday sale.

I don't have the Synergy stuff on the site, but I have them. Let me know if you need anything.

Those I do not. I have some 22RE motor mount plates, but that's it.

05+. It's bigger than 1 inch, unless you mean Inside Diameter. Do you have any kits you could measure real quick so I don't have to tear mine apart? I will order both uppers and lowers if I can figure out which ones to order lol.

They use the same Uniball as the stock length UCA's. The 1" relates to the ID of the bearing where the mis-align sets in, if the misalign was out, then it would make more sense measuring wise... Trust me on this one. We have replaced plenty. Also, is the snap ring on the top side or bottom side in that pic? can't tell from the build up. if it's on the bottom, then the uniball race is receeded into the cup a bit.
