    CV angles aren't as extreme as they look in the video. The fins do rub, I had stretched my boots with a hose clamp but went back to regular clamp for clearance on the ORI's shafts.

    Been running the topper year round since the winter of 2009 the softopper is holding up great.

    I didn't use my lockers other than when I broke trail in a few spots to include when I got myself stuck. Haha

    I think you would have been just fine actually. I just don't think it would have been worth the drive. We should do it in the spring/summer when we can get all the way up into it though.

    Science projects and side builds.... Marty picked up my Toyo AT's 285/75r17 on FJ wheels, OME 886's, shocks, dakars and light racing UCA's so I worked on the front end before Thanksgiving waiting on U-bolts for the Dakars to finish it out.

    Flipped the top-hats on the ORI's to see how they ride sitting a little lower in the stroke and if less N2 would be needed.

    It set them 1 1/8" lower in the bucket, seems to take less charge and has a better ride because of it. They show a lot less chrome at ride height but bind my cheapo Cardan CV's with an 1" of down travel left. If I leave it this way I think it may need limit straps or/and I have a set of OEM CVJ rebuilds to throw in too so maybe they have more travel as well. Or I may flip it back to original and use longer studs with a 1/2" top spacer.:notsure::notsure::notsure::notsure:

    After some time looking at the top hat, I decided to flip it back to the original set-up and use 1/4" poly spacers. The 1 1/8" that I picked up from flipping it is too much. It clears the UCA at full droop but binds on the CV so a 1/2" seems like a good place to end up with the ability to go 1/4" if needed. It should in theory ride lower in the stroke and gain a little down travel hopefully I can continue to utilize the internal bump and not resort to limit straps.

    Thought Jerry had already had the top plates so that the maximum ammount of travel could be gained before binding the CVs and BJs?
