What it LOOKS like has no bearing on what it is. A super charger is normally run off a belt or electric power source (more often the belt tho) that runs from the engine. A turbo runs off exhaust gasses piped past a turbine.

What is your goal in charging the truck?? and what is your budget??

Can't talk about brakes- but I do know that the brakes on these trucks already limit you to rims 16 inches and larger...Not sure what a big brake kit would do...Lots of folks have had good luck with new OEM size rotors, pads, stainless steel lines, and fluid.

Yes I have 17inch wheels. I want a super charger I think over a turbo since it has less lag time? But I do not want to lose what gas mileage when I just drive normal. Thanks for your comments.

If you want to keep your warranty stick with the trd if you want to go all out go with urd. Urd actually makes a stock looking pully for the trd supercharger if you want a few more pounds of boost without sacrificing the warranty.

From what I've read if you're not building boost there is some kind of release valve so the supercharger isn't putting drag on your engine. Also some people reported gaining mpg.

Sorry I don't know much about brakes.

Yeah....I'd vote for a S/C over a Turbo any day. MGPs are up to you for the most part. If you are getting into the boost all the time....You are going to lose mpgs...If you drive with a light right foot on the skinny pedal....You should be alright.
Don't forget with an S/C you will most likely need high test (91/93..I forget what they sell around Tampa) gas.
