Well of all times of the year, now is your best time to find 12v Xmas lights. I wired in a 12v plug back there as well so I could use either. Boating places sell em. If you find any, be sure & get the LED kind. You'll run too hot if you use incandescents.

Why doesn't it just mount without the factory bumper?

 

'12+ are different front ends compared to '05 to '09.

 

ARB cheaped out on engineering/production and this closes up the gaps...probably better than they could.

 

No, they never designed it for the '12+ vehicles...

I'm just outside of Grand Falls, but work 30 kms from Millertown and the roads are usually horrible when I drive to work at 4 am, studded goodyear territories are going on mine on Wednesday. Hopefully they truly are a Duratrac built for Canadian Tire and are as good as what everyone says. Was also considering the cooper discovery M+S but it would have been a 2 week wait. I've been waiting on replacement general grabber at2's but there one back order and about 4-6 weeks out apparently, I can't wait that long.

 

Yesterday- after the first good rain of the season, took her out to get some mud on the tires. Got it all over, even inside the cab. Whoops. This is gonna be a gnarly task to clean up, especially before I take it in for its comp service at the dealer on Monday- I'm sure they're not going to be thrilled at the dirty undercarriage….



but it was worth it! If I wasn't working all weekend…

was it easy to get on? any problems u ran into i should kno about?

 

I got one of their first batch, and a few of us noted that the angle was 1-2 degrees off (wings of the bumper rubbed the fender). I shimmed the bumper with washer and it fit right up. I think they include the washers now. Check my build thread and my gallery for pics.

 

I suggest torquing your UCA ball joint nuts to at least 150 ft-lbs.The ones circled in the pic.



I had mine set to 120 ft-lbs and they still move on the trail. I just upped them to 150 ft-lbs. Haven't got to test it yet to see if that will hold though.
