I got to practice unconditional love today.

It was almost 70 degrees in western PA today and as I enjoyed the weather outside with my children, my 2 year old daughter drew a picture for my wife. Cute, huh? Only problem was she drew the picture on the side of my wifes 07 CRV..........with a rock. Amazingly, I kept my composure. Thanks, mostly, to the shock of what she had just done. I think I'll be able to buff it all out, but we'll see. Aint' kids grand:rolleyes:

How composed would you be if she drew on your Taco with a rock? Too bad your wife's vehicle wasn't a Ridgeline, haha. Good luck with the buffing.

I woulda been pissed, but my truck has 123K on it with numerous scratches already. The CRV has 6K on it and the paint was perfect.

That's actually really good for a 2 year old! Good circle and its got some form to it. I realize that's cold comfort, but I'm trying to look on the bright side for you. Of course, if it had been me, I think you'd have heard the shriek from where you are!

I saw the quality in the picture too. I actually think it is her representation of either my or my wife's facial expression upon seeing her "art". Anyhow, I see the humor in it and like Roland said, it's hard to be mad a cute little 2 year old girl.

Agreed - Tell her, "Honey, I would love to get you a car, but you have already cost me quite a bit when it comes to cars. Love ya!"

I feel for ya. My daughter did the same thing to my wife's CRV. She was about 2 when it happened. She didn't so much draw a picture as just put wavy stripes down the side. The CRV doesn't get pampered so when it's dirty, it's not easy to notice the scratches. It's been 5 years and we haven't fixed it because we weren't sure what child #2 would do. He just turned 3, so I think we'll get it painted this summer.

That sucks, I don't would know what I would have done. Seeing that I have no kids of my own, I find my patience is thin when it comes to them, scratching the car might send me, I know I wouldn't ever hit the child, but sometimes I might yell when it's really not necessary, your a good man for staying calm, down the road this will pay off in spades, maybe she'll do something or know of something and NOT be afraid of you to talk about it, as for me... not so much. :(
