Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving! It's been busy up here, but my leave was finally accepted so I'll be home right after Christmas.

Devin, get a taco again, you know you want one :D

Yep. Worked like a champ. It's only a 2.9 amp motor.
It's a little bit silly how happy that just made me.

That's awesome. I almost bought an open box one for $20 a while back and passed. Had I known it would work on the truck outlet I woulda nabbed it up but I assumed the motors on those weren't very efficient and ran at higher amperage than that.

I know Scotty has. I've had plenty of talks with him. I almost bought his orange one.
I love it. But with the new house and wanting I finish my basement and land scaping I feel I'm going to need some bed space.

Plugged into the truck, the 3 gal tank fills in a couple minutes (didn't use a stop watch). I dropped a tire to 20 psi while it was filling. The clamp-on air chuck doubles as a deflator when its disconnected from the hose.
When I hooked up to the tire, pressure in the tank dropped pretty quick and the compressor kicked on almost immediately. Over the course of a minute or so, pressure in the tank dropped to ~32 before it started climbing again. I take that to mean that the tank alone will get one of my 33s to 30 from 20. It took another minute or so for pressure in the tank (and presumably the tire) to climb to 45. The gauges on the compressor are pretty accurate too because when I checked the tire it was right at 45.

This is way better performance than any of the gas station coin-op compressors I've used and miles beyond the little 12v compressor I have. I figure the only things that would beat it would be CO2 (high $) or a belt driven compressor attached to the engine (high $ and crazy fab skills).
    For a $50 outlay, I couldn't be happier.

Trolling the FJC forums. Trying to figure what way to go. Have to " share" with the wife so 35's and an SAS are not in the near future.
