    I wouldn't carry pepper spray personally, I am carrying 90% of the time and have at the very least my sabenza at all times and have some, albeit limited instruction as to efficient defensive usage. I have had a close encounter with a black bear while mountain biking and used my bear spray and holy shit does it work, but it effects EVERYONE... not a good thing when there are others close by and having to worry about them filing assault charges or some stupid shit if they were to get dosed

    I have a 14" Mag flashlight.:)
    A police issue "Quick stick" or (Retractable baton)
    And two knifes, all at quick access right next to me between the seat and the center console.

    My girl friend has a pink 14" Mag flash light, pepper-spray, and a knife as well:)

    I have a 200 lumen Nebo Protect Bat Light. Basically will do the same thing a Maglight will do but feels nicer and is brighter than my Maglight. Smaller handle so if she has smaller hands it may fit her better. Mounted it with cheep spring holders you would use for an over sized broom handle. There not legal in all states though.

    X2 - In most cases you're in your truck and if you're in danger you can drive away. I wouldn't expect my wife to take on an attacker with a machete, a flashlight, or a baseball bat covered in vaseline. I would tell her to keep the doors locked and drive. I don't watch a lot of FOX news though, so I have a different perspective.

    When possible, driving away or running the attacker over is a better option. The weapon is for when you are boxed in.

    I don't see the point in carrying a bat or defensive baton, though. Might as well carry a 24" breaker bar so you can change your tire with it, too.
