    but thats 600 for just the housing right? still need the guts. thats not cheap

    nope. Pretty much impossible to ever get anything metal 100% back straight. Close..but never perfect. plus axles are pretty hard to straighten with out caving in the housing.

    find a new one if thats the case.

    Ben locks his truck on any dirt road..period. rather stupid if ya ask me, but he does.

    You have the guts in the axle you have now. If you are going the 60 route, look for an old Army CUCV axle. 4.56 gears and a detroit locker from the factory. I saw one brand new (surplus) sell for $400.

    No worries haha I usually run the locker on every obstacle unless I'm in 4hi.

    I'm not going to give the tires any credit for getting up the wall on Poughkeepsie, just the driver....

    i still think i can do i open. Next time, totally trying it without lockers first haha

    and Cody had hardly any tread left and mud filling every gap he had left of tread. He should have walked up it, but no traction.

    and yea, don't even need a locker for the switchbacks..or any of the trails we did on that trip. I took every hard line there was save one, and none of us had big enough tires for it and then The Wall was in limp mode :frusty:

    Lockers for what we have done thus far..over rated haha

    now..once we take it up a notch..lockers gonna be needed. Can't wait for them.

    Yup, all about the lines. The trail run I did over Memorial Day weekend helped teach me that very well.


    True..... I would know since I took it apart like 3-4 times before I found the burnt wiring for my e-locker. Looked brand new inside though.

    actually, having the locker on puts a ton of stress on your diff, bearings, axle shafts, pretty much the whole drive line. You know all about how when your trun the inside tire travels less distance..blah blah blah..its not good for it to be in ALL the time at some of the speeds we go :anonymous:

    i cant drive off road unless im in 4lo

    ask monte haha. the truck is so underpowered in 4hi i can hardly rock crawl at all. with 35s...not even a chance
