I'd like to make it out to the 2014 run.... Just depends on how many days of leave I'll have as well as how financially stable I am at the time...

People want me to go back to the FJ Rally in New Mexico, but this one will be hard to pass up....

how many times must i repeat mysel haha. not another wyo run. every year we go somewhere different (well a group of us do) wherever this summers run takes us.

 

I only get on holiday off a year, what makes you think I can take leave for TWO big trips? Haha

I'm making it my goal to go on one big trip per year. And I'd like it to be one like your Epic trip you did this year. Doesn't have to be the same, just as long as I can make it haha

Either one is fine with me. It just looks like between the Epic meet, MOAB, and the FJ Rally yours is the most entertaining....

Cause...Moab..is...pretty damn funny...but on the crazy side.

 

MOAB just seems like way too many people. A lot of great people to meet, but just too much.

When we were leading 17 people on a trail at the FJ rally it was too much for me... Everybody decides they want to do something their way and get's pissed if it doesn't happen.

 

I'm planning a trip cross the country from New England, and ending in Vancouver. I'm timing it when it happens to go out on some wheeling adventures with some of you folks out west.

 

So did this year's MOAB and FJ Rally. Doesn't mean there won't be another one.

 

True..that can happen with any group though. Only takes one person to make that happen in a group.

well if im in the Wy area..ill wheel any time. So keep us posted. Lots of people would gladly meet you all over the country.

 

yea the Name isn't a repeatable thing..i named it that for shits and giggles..and it lived up to the name.

The next meet will get its own name..no idea what.

 

If you want to push the limits of your rig without worrying too much about being stranded moab is the place. but if your looking to be off the grid for days on end..another epic meet is more for you. all depends.

after last year...im not doing any groups over like 8 people (except the annual hells revenge run, ill put up with 24 haha). ill break off into my own group if necessary. taco takeover isnt like that though. its much more democratic and more loosly organized. you really do what you want. you sign up for popular trails with an experienced leader and you just work it out there and play it by ear. you can sit at camp all day or go get lost and eaten by wild animals, its all you to make up your week

Yeah, the group that caused problems were also the ones that didn't sign up, were politely allowed to show up and wheel with the event, ate food that was included in the sign up price that they didn't pay, and they won the Toytec BOSS suspension system that was given away. Everybody was pissed! They just laughed and left immediately that night....

 

we were all inexperienced and retarded.

I hope to meet as many fellow TW'ers along the way as I can!

But first I have to finish school... Get my truck closer to my goal of an expo rig.... Rack, bed canopy, rtt... Extra parts... Etc....


And money. Need to save a lot of money.

I'm hoping to get all this done within the next 2 years.

 

Being stranded in Moab? whatever. You can get in deep shit there..and getting out..will be PRICEY haha recovery teams there know what they are worth haha

Moab its huge now though. How many rigs where there this year? 50-60ish?

but yea, easy to setup your own mini groups to go places.
