Help identifying plug under dash

    I was looking up from the coin holder to the left of the steering wheel when I saw this unused plug. behind the blanks. Is this wiring for fog lights or something else? I Have an 07 base 4 banger 4x4. I will post a pic tomorrow with the colors of the wires when there is more light.

    Could be multiple things, I had the same question but mine is a TRD sport and through process of elimination it was a plug for trailer brakes if they were get installed.

    Nope I know what that one is and have something plugged into it

    I will, it was too dark tonight. I do know that it is black and had 3 or 4 wires coming out of it. Not very wide either.

    Here are the pics. I know the greens are lighting. The others are white/black and grey/black.

    Dont mind the dirty switch blank socket. I cleaned that.

    I don't know of it is supposed to come out that hole. I just pulled it out of one. Thanks for the help.

    Does that mean I can just get the switch and plug it in or would I need more before that?

    Alot of manufacturers save time and money by making some of the wire harnesses universal to fit a few different configurations. Traction control was listed as an option back in 2007... if your truck wasn't set up for it hooking that wire up to a switch will do nothing.
    Does your brakes master cylinder look like this under the hood...
