    Actually, it IS painful.

Morning all! Had some fun on my range yesterday. My brother-in-law brought his son, daughter and her dorm mate - a 22 year old Korean exchange student - up to give Emma a chance to shoot a bit. Her father is a police officer in Seoul and she has been texting back and forth with her family while she is here in the US - they were thrilled that she was going to have some range time.

She ended up shooting an M4 Carbine, my M1 Garand, a 9mm and a .45 cal pistol and a 12 gauge shotgun. You should have seen the smiles after she finished with each one - even had some good target hits with each weapon.

My nephew fell in love with the Garand. I brought out the one I just purchased and had not fired it before so it wasn't zeroed. I put an old grill propane tank out on the range at about 75 yards, centered the windage and then bottomed out the elevation and gave it 8 clicks up. Joe took the rifle and slammed 8 of 8 rounds into the tank - it's a keeper for sure.

Hoping for a little sun and warmer temps today so I can get the outside lights up. There's still a little snow on the roof and I don't want to be crawling around up there with snow and ice.

    Enjoy the day!

    Good Morning 6.

:woot: for Range Time. I really have to look into picking up a Garand; so very cool.

Hope you get the warmer temps. I'm waiting to come up above single digits to do the same. Hopefully tomorrow.

    Have a great day!

    Morning all:
Thinking the same thing! It is painful!!! :(

    Morning Capt. Nice bear!
ALMOST ready for deer season. HOLY CRAP-it open's tomorrow!

Mark; Good to hear the Grand shoots well. I would rather have a clunker that is accurate, than a premium gun that is marginal. But having a premium gun that is accurate is the best of both worlds. A few years ago I talked a guy into buying a Win. 770. That is a carbine that was made to compete with the 660 Rem. It is a 30-06, and with 165 gr. HSP hand loads it will touch 5 holes at 100 yds. If I would have known that it shot that well it would be in MY gun cabinet! :D

The Sportster is basically stock with a K&N insert and a oil vapor redirect system that spits out the oil mist out the back of the bike by the rear tire instead of having it puke into the air filter and drip down the crossover pipe. It has modified rear foot boards with adapters for the passenger. The bike has a very special place in my heart. Not the fastest or prettiest to others but to me it is..

Take it easy Old Man. ;)

 Glad you found what works for you. :)

 Morning folks. Got two hours sleep after work Sun morning. We had all the kids over for family Thanksgiving meal since Kristi had to work Thanksgiving day. I crashed about 7PM ... And of course woke around midnight wide awake. Gonna try to catch a few more hours here in a little while. If the forecast holds we'll be partly sunny and get up into the teens... That's my window of opportunity to get the outside Christmas lights up! :woot:

    Have a great day! :)
