Not really. I guesstimate about how much protein/fat I consume with eat meal.
Like for breakfast, I'll do a burger patty, some bacon, and an egg or two. I usually try to get around 40ish grams of protein per meal. If I go under or over a bit I'm not too worried about it. I try to keep my fat up there with my protein, so at times I'll smash some canned coconut milk, or grab a couple handfuls of pistachios or something. I'm not adding them up and measuring, just trying to shoot for a general amount. Quick and easy.
Never really measure my carbs. I don't consume anything other then meat and veggies for the most part, minus carbs post workout. Then post workout I just eat a bunch. Sweet potatoes and honey are usually my go to. Sometimes I'll forget to cook them before hand, and I'll have some corn based product. When I completely forget to pre-plan, I'll just stop at the store on the way home and grab a carton of chocolate almond milk and drink half after my workout, then the other half about an hour later. :D

Why brown rice? Why not a variety of carbs...if he's a newb to this, he will get sick of it early and give up all together.
I would have white and sweet potato
    Oats
    Bagels
    Cream of rice
    Pop tarts
    Kids cereals
    Bananas
    Blueberries
    Rice etc

    Thanks guys,
I eat bagels about every weekend because they are simple to do in the mornings. Ill see if I can't get more rice in my diet and see what happens I guess. I workout for a good 45min each time I go so its not like I don't spend much time there.

    A LOT MORE OF IT!

And when you get done eating that....EAT MORE!

Eat a freaking pizza a day or some shit. I don't care...at your height you should easily be 200+

That makes sense about the rice. Ill add that and keep going like I am and see what happens. I can begin to see a 6 pack if I flex but by no means am I a muscular build yet.

    ohh god... body pics.
I think I'm actually going to try to cut down (never done a serious cut), just to see how much definition I can get. I'm usually eating about 4000 cal a day, so ill probablly just drop down to 3000/3300, minimal carbs, more cardio, and keep up the weights and protein. These are kinda acting as my before pics.

Any other tips from people who have done a successful cut.

Joe Donnelly: Those who say you can't out train a bad diet never had the balls to try.

6'2" 156 lbs, the last thing I'd worry about is a 6-er....and worry more about where your next slice of pizza or a sandwich is.

So should I gain weight by eating a ton then work it off by lifting weights?

No, you should gain muscle and weight by eating TONS and lifting weights!!! Don't think about working anything off right, you need to be thinking working it on!!
