    True haha

I'll probably buy another set of D2's whenever I get a rear bumper, but that'll probably be all the LEDs I'll get unless I can find a roof mount that I like.

D2s as backup lights, or just regular for whenever lights?

D2's as backup lights. Unless I find something better by then.

Working on the blinker relocation mod. I've already spent an hour and a half and I've only finished one so far haha Doesn't help that I'm ocd about trying to trim it perfect and taking a ton of pictures for a write-up for us 01-04's specifically.

I'm looking into doing this myself but have a different take on it. I noticed the blinker bulb is a dual filament and the blinker socket has 3 contacts. Have to do some research and some testing but I'm looking at replacing the marker light with the blinker and having the blinker function as both. Heat dissipation is a big concern.

Yeah, it's been done with switchbacks. But the delay they have bugs me. I'm not worried about heat dissipation considering the blinker isn't on long enough to produce much heat.

As a blinker, heat dissipation isn't a problem. It is if they are run as running lights where the heat becomes a problem. I have to research the wattage dissipation of the individual filaments but I think I can make this work with the existing circuit and wiring with the exception of needing a new OEM harness plug.

Ah, so in other words it doesn't matter for me :p

I get what you're saying though, could be interesting. But I've already cut this up so it's too late haha

Plan to get new corner lights eventually and I'll have to do this all over again though....

Ya, for you, does not matter. :D

I'm not sure my idea will work. I've never found a write-up doing it the way I thought of which tells me something may be wrong in my thought process. But, there are 2 hot contacts and 1 ground contact in the blinker socket and the blinker bulb is a dual filament. Don't know why Toyota made two separate bulb locations. Would've saved in labor and parts during assembly to have one bulb location.

Yeah I'm looking at the bulb and socket and it looks like it would work in theory.... :notsure:

It'll probably happen eventually. But I can't justify buying another set of lights right now. I've got plenty of other stuff I need to do haha

Can't wait to get my bumper installed and get my D2's on!

    What beam pattern are those?

Haha yeah, I only plan on getting one diffused for a camp light mounted on my rear bumper in the future.

I was going to get flood beam for my fogs, but after seeing the driver beam comparison it was no contest. Flood is only wider by a very small margin, but the driving beam throws very far.

I don't know where the different pics are. I've just seen random pictures of peoples applications and it looks like the driving beams work much better.

Here are the charts for comparison...

    Haha yup!

D2's for fogs, D2's for reverse lights, D2's for hood lights, and Lightforce Striker 170 HID's for spots is the current plan....

Still not sure about a 40" led bar on the rood unless I can find a mount I like.
