30 and younger thread

a rebuilt motor is fine as long as it was done by a reputable tech, if he has shop papers for it I wouldn't worry about it. A high strung 4 stroke race bike usually needs a top end rebuild every 100 hours depending on riding.

 

It was done by one of the techs that works at FBC , but i don't know if he did it through FBC or privately.

My cousin rode the bike the other day, he did a wheelie up his driveway in 3rd, and he was impressed by the power.

So far, kid said he had ~5 hours on it since the rebuild.

 

hm. not quite time for something to really go wrong if it was a bad job, but i doubt anything is really wrong with it.

an 06 would be much nicer than a 89 dont ya think haha

 

Tons better, but it's more $$$, and it's a pretty clean bike, which i'm sure we'll lay over a few times while we're learning.

I might contact him and see what his bottom dollar is and try to get it lower.

I'll also check into the aftermarket, i'll probably get a 1'' lowering link for it to make it easier for my to get on and off (i'm not as young and limber as i used to be)

you dont need to lower the dam thing. waste of time, money and good suspension travel. if you aren't tall enough to kick start the thing you shouldn't ride it

its like you doing a project for 5 weeks...and the whole time you know you will hit a point, in this case in week 6, that you have to put all of these pieces together. and you know its a very very very good chance that those pieces wont fit together. but you keep trucking along because you have to haha.

hahahaha hey. i dont care. its worth it. that thing is fun and looks sick as hell.

its worth it for me i have to redo the gasket on a valve cover, rebuild the front forks and install a thermostat.

oh and figure out where all of the oil is comming from behind the dam radiator fan. it leaks a lot of oil

ive wanted a motorcycle for the street for a while. Its a much more fun and economical way to get around than shitty mpg truck. Its daily joy for me, really is. I love motorcycles so much. Just riding it to school and work is a highlight of my day!

So im not sure where to post this, ill just come here since i been lurking around these waters for a minute. a girl i know who i like has a boyfriend who has been using her for a long time and tonight i just found out this dude hits her..... do piece this dude in? She likes me and i like her.... and idk guys who beat girls are like the lowest of the low scum to me. Im really tempted to just pummel this motherfucker. rant over....

 

I hear ya, she has to be willing to help herself by getting away from him otherwise she may turn on you after you and him "deal with his problem"...had it happen to a guy I know (me).

Why is she still with him?

 

She has been debating leaving him for awhile, and i guess the physicality just happened yesterday. Im hoping she is just gonna leave him and move on. Even if shes not with me id rather her not get beat up by some scumbag and be miserable. She told me shes thinking about it but shes leaning towards leaving him. So we shall see. Were there repercussions for you? after you "handled" that "sitchieation"
