The only way Bama gets back into the title game is if OSU and FSU lose. (The ESPN BCS Guru says that if Winston is suspended and they beat Duke, the voters won't drop them far enough to drop them further than 2nd in the BCS, so it HAS to be a loss that drops them).

Even w/o Winston, FSU is going to be a 30 point favorite over Duke, so there's NO WAY FSU loses.


SO.... As much as I'd love a re-match of the Iron Bowl in the national championship, it's SO UNLIKELY that I have to go ahead and pull for OSU to win the B1G so that auburn ends up in the Sugar (assuming they beat Mizzou) rather than the BCS NC game.

Worst case scenario for Alabama this year is the Orange Bowl. Certainly not the goal, but not too bad.

Holy mooly batman. They had my hopes up but showed themselves late. I really hope they go out and replace every single corner and safety we have, plus our quarterback. So tired of watching that kid miss opportunities or not have the arm to take advantage of them.

College basketball??? YEP!!

 

If things hold point, the orange will select clemson, vs possibly bama.

 

That was for the most part self inflicted vs SC. Next year will be interesting with some big losses on the offensive side of the ball.

I don't think we had any Auburn fans in here until after the game was over.

Kind of funny, that a FSU fan was trying to accuse some of these auburn guys if being bandwagoners, considering the biggest bandwagon I've noticed this year has been FSU. Not accusing you, Jake, of being a bandwagon fan. Just funny to me.

 

Props to Auburn for sticking with their game plan and executing it. Very impressive running backs and offensive line play. Got to the edge easily on a fast Bama defense. Busted the gut consistently as well. Alabama seemed to have NO OFFENSIVE game plan what-so-ever. Out coached, and out played.

Wasn't accusing bandwagoners, I just hadn't really noticed anyone talking about Auburn, however it could have been that they did but always said tigers and I thought either LSU or Clemson. But yes there has been a large influx of FSU fans lately.

I'm avoiding sports radio this week, except for national shows. They talked about the IB a good bit on Mike & Mike today, but they'll be over it soon. I can't imagine what Finebaum was like today, and I don't care to.

I had the worst night's sleep I can remember Friday night. Some kind of quick-onset cold or something.... So I felt like shit all day Saturday. Otherwise, I would have been drinking during the game, and probably would have drowned my sorrows afterwards. As it was, I had to experience the whole thing stone-cold sober.

Roll Tide, though. I don't think our 'run' is over yet, but it's been a good one since 2009. If Saban sticks around for another 3 years, I'd bet we get another title. Not happening this year, though.
