    My best bud is an anesthesiologist and has to work 2 holidays each year (Christmas is not considered a holiday). I don't think he gets showered with gifts when he sedates someone because they blew their hand off on the the 4th of July. I don't feel bad for him because he will be making a large sum of money once he completes his residency.
