You can bypass the iPods amp to help. And portable amps. I have a setup for that. Helps a lot.

For higher bit rates and sample rates, yes need a different player.

 

Good to hear they're getting some use! I'm likely gonna sell them when I get them back so if you have any friends that might want them at school let me know.

while true for me I just refer back to what my GF told me when she was explaining why she only drinks diet soda and energy drinks.. "I've never drank anything else so i don't know anybetter" and in many ways ignorance like that is the best policy. I dont need more expesive shit im trying to build a taco, a cummins, and put a 12valve cummins and a pair of 5ton rockwells on my 94 yota so i can take it to TTC one of these days..

 

Yea audio stuff is like the ultimate gear slut hobby. Glad I narrowed my shit down and am very happy with what i've got for portable and home use. Been that way for more than a year so i'd say i'm past it

 

Monte is just the biggest audio snob haha.

I couldn't tell the difference between a pair of 50 dollar head phones or 200.
Honestly i use a pair of 10 dollar skull candys and they work just fine and sound good enough for me. I break and lose headphones all the time so it would be dumb for me to get anything worth a decent amout.

 

I'm probably split down the middle. I certainly dont have the ear that Monte and Marc have (doesn't help that my hearing is fubared...) but I would notice the difference between decent and good quality. It be distinguishing between good and great quality where I would have trouble.

 

Hey Monte, I checked the pressures like you asked the other day and I read almost exactly the same at the tires as I do at the 4 way. It wasn't even 1 psi different when filled to 50 psi and they were dead on at 20 psi.

I also timed fill up and air down. All the times are posted in my build thread.

 

Dam. Almost got a set of 35s tonight for a steal. But the guy flaked at the last second. Looks like I'm still stuck lookin lol

But this guy wants to trade down from 35s. Toyo mts. And my tires aren't quite right for him. But I just thought about yours and they are more what he's looking for.

I sent him pics....and he said they are what he's looking for. So I'm thinking maybe I buy your tires and trade him.

That was kind of what I was thinking. I am still planning on going to Jackson and even if I don't drive someone with a truck will and I could kick him some money for hauling them.

The only thing is i don't want this guy flaking if I haul them all the way back. We would have to work something out.

 

yea..or seeing them in person and deciding not to take em..that..would suck..I guess get him to fully commit somehow..no matter what..like make him pay for them or something?? then refund him the money at the time or trade?
