You gotta come too Nate. You can make it. They don't check for front axles at the gate. You can only reserve the sites one month in advance. Wife wants to go back on dec 7th, so we would have to reserve the spot on the 7th of this month. We can always add more people. Up 7 people per site, and there are 3 sites at site B. I just would like all the sites for ourselves. There were some loud kids drinking and making noise all night across from us. Also, the bathroom at site B is super nice compared to the outhouse at site A.

 

Looks like a great location, and the taco is looking awesome as well.

 

Doording, no he didn't cite me. He ended up being real cool in the end. Not sure what the blue ribbon means. The trails here are usually marked with pink or orange.

I am down almost any time and it's not hard to talk Rotha in to camping. We are camping this weekend out at bellows . The beginning of Dec is no good for us. Britt and I are running the Honolulu marathon.

 

I would like to go to bellows, but we gotta take the doggies. Not sure how strict they are with dogs. You guys gonna be in the public area or military cabins?

Yeah, with all the pics I see of lines of huge fully caged crawlers going up gnarly trails, I thought everything was free game.
Brian (beefed taco) pm'ed me a few day a ago saying he would need about 2 more weeks.

It sucks that the tread lightly motto and mindset isnt very prevalent here

people will yell and curse at tourists for leaving cigarette butts on the beach, then turn around and "HO BRAH WE GO RAMBLE!!" wherever there's dirt.

I've noticed that a lot on the big island, im not too sure how it is on oahu

 

I gotta admit when I was a kid on Maui, I wasn't very ecofriendly...
But if there were rules and regulations, I probably would have followed them.

Funny how such a small detail can make a big difference

The raw aluminum Warn fairlead was corroding quick. Especially on the backside. There are little hollows, that combined with the angle of the pelfreybilt bumper, would hold water.
If you have a pelfrey front bumper and plan on ordering a Viking fairlead, source some 7/16"-14 flat socket cap screws about 1-1/2 to 1-3/4" long. The ones that come with it are too short to use on the front bumper. None of the hardware stores or even specialty shops have them on this island...

 

Nice truck and pics. Got cited from DLNR for riding my trials bike in Norfolk. Was super scared...went to court, fine was $20 lol. Some of those officers are real a$$es, but some are cool.

 

Such a sick truck cuz! This da reason why I contemplate trading mines in for one 2nd gen! Deady ba- keep it up!
