yea, ive noticed almost anyone thats a member of this forum is pretty legit. The occasional doucher but for the most part, one of the closer knit forums ive ever seen. Im dying to get my truck on some trails or in the open desert..out here in North Carolina, there isnt SHIT! except for the western border of NC... im stationed on the damn coast lol

Rio Puerco. On the NW end of town. Drive up Coors to Southern. Hang a left on Southern until it turns to dirt. Keep driving until you see a big dune. That's where the off-road playground starts.

Mostly drive around in the river bed and tackle whatever obstacles you feel like. Can make it as easy or as hard as you want. An easy place to go and much easier to handle in case of bad weather. Can try the Jemez and other areas up North but have to keep an eye on the sky.

I went to high school in the Tidewater area. Pretty flat. Pisgah NF is nice but enough of a drive to be a weekender at least.

I'd love to go back out after tomorrow. Gotta fix my shit 1st.

This would be the best alternative.

Drive Faster and it won't be an hour.:D

    Puerco would be awesome.

Scan some of the pics in my build. It is a fun area, lots of places to get lost and have fun. Plus if we can get the 5 lugger through........you shouldn't have an issue.

Cedro, Puerco, Farmington, Soccorro, and Cedro are all great places.

Thanks man. Here is the list......

    Pull wheels/tires.
    Pull spindles/LCA's.
    Pull Frt Bumper.
    Pull front driveshaft.
    Front Diff and CV's.
    Jack up engine.
    Pull out frame, hopefully.
Check measurements on both sides, adjust as necessary.
    Weld in frame crack.
Cut gusset supports out of 1/8" and weld.
    Make passenger side match.
    Reverse of everything else above.

Romp through desert behind house. :D

I will be out there tinkering all day. I also have a 50' LED bar showing up on Wed that I'll need to wire. But pm me your number and maybe we can go out this next week or so. Just let me know.

Damn that's a list for sure. Would be nice to learn some new things. Sometime this month I'll be retrofitting my headlights. So that will be new for me, hopefully I don't jinx myself and fuck up

You should be okay. I still need to pull mine and black them back out. You should be okay as long as you take your time.
