actually i just had a thought...(these are generally not good so be ready) do you think you could built a bed rack that goes OVER a soft topper that would also connect into a roof rack that ran the full length of the roof and into a light cage?

not on my current roof rack. at least not without it looking kinda goofy. once you account for spacing between the ligts (without even having vertical bars to strengthen the hoop), you're already pushing 40 inches. add a couple of vertical stiffeners, with proper spacing for them, and half of each light on both sides is going to be overhanging the roof. the hoop itself would probably be out wider than your side view mirrors.

    typically:
    6: 4''-6'' lights
    4-5: 7'' lights
    4: 8''-9'' lights

    thank you :)

pictures make the dents look a lot smaller :p

i actually thought about putting some full plates or some expanded steel in there, but opted not to bacause i use those wings for the high lift jaw and as a recovery point so often. if i had a fill plate, there would be multiple times that i would have been in trouble on the trails. some of the recoveries may not have gone so well.

i could.....but that's going to be a very heavy, and fairly expensive rack. if i hold to my typical design styling, that's probably a 2k rack. and it wouldn't so much be a bed rack with a roof rack, but a bed rack with a platform/hoop overhanging the roof. you can't really bolt the same item to our roofs and beds because of the amount of flex relative to one another that they see. you'd rip to roof to pieces.

it was never build, but this was a rack i designed a few years ago for a t-100 with a shell. similar concept.

and here's a similar one for a 2nd gen. disregard the mount to the roof, as that would not actually be there.

:woot: congrats. HIDs are a beautiful thing. wat beam pattern?

    lol

two very capable florida members with 2wd. left truck is on 34s, right one is on 37s with an ARB rear end. he's made it up stuff that's taken me a 2nd try. he's a very good driver though.

here's the one that's now on 37s. he was on 25s in these though.
can't find pictures of him doing it, but he actually followed me up this section without getting stuck. locker and large tires are a beautiful thing when you toss an experienced driver in the mix

    they are large.....

only way he's getting away with them without long travel is his 4'' lift spindles.

like said before i dont plan on getting rid of my truck soon, shes my baby. im going to continue to mod her but slow down and focus on other things like school and the future and if i find good deals or can support a local business being that price is fair then i'll shoot for it. although i have decided to slow down the mods the 2 things i've decided i still want for sure before summer is a topper and a roof rack. (actually lady wants roof rack more than i do andi really want a roof rack so yeah lol)
do it...and give me your 35's
