AFAIK, I'll leave here the day after Christmas, sooo I could be there on the 27th? It'd be a nice place to stop and rest after 1500 miles. Would love to help out on the rigs!

    A lot haha

GM alternator is one, frame plates, shock relocation and more even. He has a big list and we have a week. Just gonna hang out and work through it. Gonna be fun!

A week before I do. But he goes in the wrong direction for you..haha

    Nice!!

Is he not going back to Seattle after he leaves you?

Although I just checked and it would add 5 hours to his drive time to go through Boise...

BTW Monte, I was gonna upgrade the alternator to the GM one. Would the OEM one suffice as a spare?

    Will the GM on fit?

OEM as a spare will work to get you home. But it ain't gonna put out the power. Think your stock one is like 60-70 amps haha 80 maybe like mine. But yea I wired up mine so if it dies I can swap in the stock one pretty easily with quick connects and I carry a stock belt still and left all the stock wiring.

Nah it's real easy. Didn't take my dad and I long. Few hours. To get stuff custom made like the wiring. But swapping them would take like 30 mins maybe.

Is the GM fairly common? I.e., could I find them pretty easily in a salvage yard if I had to? What vehicles normally come equipped with them?
