    Huh? 3" of BS is pretty small but not uncommon really. I wheeled with a guy who had wheels with 2.5" BS, which is the smallest I have seen.

    I think Logan is running 3" BS wheels with 1" spacers up front.

    The less BS, the more the tires stick out and have a wider arc lock to lock. Most of the aftermarket wheels we use are 4" or 3.75" BS. Monte is running 2.5" with the spacers IIRC:eek:

    we tried to get my wheels on his rig but his is an 85, so SA. and with my factory 4.5" bs his steering arm hit the rim and kept it from going on. thats why im not driving on 35s right now. then he decided he didnt want my tires but i showed him monts and he was like "thats exactly what I want"

    so here I am.

    i told you, my suspension is so still I dont have up travel. i am convinced my suspension up front doesent move, it just stays where it is. if i hit a dip the suspension doesn't compress, it just hits and bounces out

    Got ya, wasn't sure what you were getting at when you said that was huge. There's always a trade off. Less BS will get you off your knuckles and frame, but puts you into your cab more so you have to cut/tub more... Using spacers to widen your stance gives your tires more leverage on your tire rods as well making it that much more likely to bend one as well as making it harder to steer.

    I meant 2.5" BS without spacers. You achieved 2.5" with spacers didn't you? If he added 1.5" spacers like you have he would have 1" of total backspacing.

    Yup. If you hit a dip, it WILL hit those fender/firewall. I've had it hit the firewall a few times on 33"s and the fenders cut the lugs on the 35"s doing the same. I had to cut/trim a LOT to avoid it.

    Yea my rims are 4.0" BS now. New ones are 3.75". Using 1.5" spacers

    3.5 is common for our trucks too. 3 and less not so much.

    like i said could be because his is a solid axle 85.

    now im worried your wheels wont clear his steering arm and it will hit like my factory wheels did.

    i dont really want to put your tires on his wheels...i want his wheels lol.

    ill just tell him to deal with it and buy spacers or something

    That will make your front end flex for sure!

    If I had something taller I could have got a little more stuff on the passenger side and a lot more droop out of the driver

    Putting the front tire on something doesn't seem to flex the front at all, kind of a downside to IFS. It will flex the rear though.

    I put my front tire up on this stump and the front end didn't really flex at all, I just got body roll keeping the front end about level with the body.

    So the rear had to compensate for the lack of flex up front
