Been looking, found an 08 39K miles Sport LB DC $22,500. But I'd have to sell the Mazda for that to happen.

Well three people have hit, saving me bumper damage, but now I have accidently backed into somebody else's car with it.

Now damage, I just bent the license plate a wee bit. I left a note to be courteous. :)

OK, so you saved your bumper, but that thing is dangerous. You can get a ticket for that.

If you look and really look like I have, they're all more expensive than a brand new one, so buying an 08 with low miles for $25K over buying a brand new 09 with full warranty, etc for $25K is less cost effective.
It's also really hard to find the truck you want used vs. new. I found one 09 that I was going to trade him the Mazda for but I emailed him literally 1 day late...he already bought something. :(

You are not looking at comparable vehicles. There is nooo way that a used Taco costs as much as a new one.

No joke, go on craigslist and look at 07's, 08's, and 09's. They're all incredibly overpriced.

negotiate down... same as with a new car...

A dealer listed used truck for 25k means that they probably gave the poor sap 18k for trade... work with it.... it'll be cheaper...

Just what I thought...manual. DAMNIT! Oh well, back to chris's plan.

My dad's a cop, he says it's technically a hitch so it's fine. I go by what he says.

I never think of working with people to talk them down when it's a private seller, that thought just never clicks in my mind. But yea, definitely gonna take that approach.
    Way ahead of you!

Because someone could trip over it in a parking lot. You could back in to someone without remembering that it is there. It could poke through someones bumper in a minor accident. Just seems unsafe to me. It's a hook hanging offf the back of your truck.

Well I always know it's there. I always park backwards. If somebody hits me from behind it's their fault. :)
